My husband Rick Dickman is a Chocolate Lab breeder. See Rick's Retrievers ... Located in Idaho.
One of the few in the country that have High-level genetics testing AND All-Chocolate-Factored dogs.!‼️
AKC of course. And also we are a AKC-registered Kennel.😊 Rick is an Excellent-level breeder with Gooddog, also. 💕

We will host a Puppy-pick day soon. Those who have reservations will come and play with them, get to know their personalities ... and make thier final selection.
For long-distance we video and communicate, so they get the experience, too. We have puppy-lovers from all over the country!!
This is a Joy to see them placed with loving homes. 😍
The pups will go home at 8 weeks, after being fully weaned, have their shots, dewclaws removed, worming meds given, and completely Vet checked.
They will have a packet of info, vaccination schedule, AKC registration, puppy-training tips
And a goodie bag of stuff! 🐾

Personalities are showing!!
We are hosting the Puppy-Pick day soon for new owners to select their new pups. We do this at 5wks. They will go home @ 8wks, with all shots done, Dewclaws removed, wormer med given, and a packet of paperwork. Plus a bag of goodies from Rick's Retrievers.

Puppy Puddle!! 😍
They Do Not have their eyes open quite yet, a few more days!! ☺️
At this age they cannot regulate thier body temp, so they huddle-puddle-cuddle up... AND they are kept in a temperature-controlled whelping pen.💕

Rick's Retrievers is an AKC-certified Kennel. Excellent rated breeder by Gooddog. All genetics testing completed. OFA Tested on hips-eyes-elbows.
One of the few breeders that does this level of testing AS WELL AS... ALL Chocolate Factored dogs.

Part of puppy care is Early- Neural-stimulation, where Rick puts them on their back, gets them to submit andtheir belly, belly, feet and ears. This helps them develop early problem solving skills, improves intelligence, and calm them .
This is part of Rick's daily routine.

Derby's pups have arrived, a bit early...All big healthy beautiful pups!!! 🤎 We have 10... 6 girls& 4 boys. ❤️
Rick was by her side the entire night, helping Derby, & weighing, cleaning pups. That is really his happy spot. He loves the pups.
This litter is all spoken for, but we are taking reservations for future litters.

Goodbye, K9 Storm.🥲
You were a Good Dog.
"Cop-dog" Storm came to Rick as part of the IDOC K9 program. She had trust issues and had been abused as a pup, being used as a Bait-dog. Rick worked to gain her trust, and they became the Best partners. Storm was the TOP DOG in the program, and her life was one of purpose.
She was retired out of K9 in 2022 and became a valued member of our family, spoiled and loved.
She was A TALKER. A big personality, and naughty at times. She loved to get into garbage, or help herself to any food left on the counter or table that was unattended. She loved to get haircuts, and acted very proud of her scarfs, or vests. She was privileged in the household and the Old Dog.
She was loyal and loving, beloved.
It's hard to say Goodbye, but we'll see you again someday 💔
