I just wanted to clarify. Yes, my building was for sale. It is not for sale now.

Yes, I had a job at a clinic in Yakima two days a week . Their doctor was pregnant. She has some of complications and some after the baby came. She’s bAck to work now, so I returne to my practice

I’m back in my own clinic 3.5 days a week with some emergency availability. Appointments are needed. No large animal emergencies or farm calls are available.

I hope my new schedule will help a few more animals and people to get access to care

So, there you have it!

Hey everybody it’s so good to be back in my own clinic!

🦜Please share this. 🦜
✌🏼
I make every effort to get my own clients (and other peoples) in for daytime emergencies if at all possible. We are taking new clients.

We offer vaccinations, diagnostics,X-ray, ultrasound, labs, acupuncture, geriatrics, nutrition and pain management

Horses have to haul in. I do not have time currently to do farm calls. Sorry about that.

No spay and neuter.

After hours emergency services may be available when time permits. I do try, but it’s not always possible.

If you need an appointment please call 509-961-5854 and please leave a message.

Always caring about you and your animals ,

Thank you

Rabies in Yakima
All pet owners please have your animals vaccinated for rabies. This is extremely serious. Rabies has not been seen in our area in many years. A bat was diagnosed with rabies on the coast and now one in Yakima. This is the time to booster all of your animals, especially cats.

UPDATE. Our state veterinarians office has confirmed that no cases of heartworm transmitted to animals while in our state have been CONFIRMED . If anything changes I’ll be sure to let you know

I recently heard an advertisement on the radio from a local veterinary clinic here in Yakima, stating that they’re starting to see heartworm disease in Yakima. I want to clarify how heartworm is transmitted.

Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes that are NOT able to transmit heart worm in our area and we never will be able to . For the Mosquito to transmit heartworm, it requires persistent warm temperatures in the evenings which we do not have and will never have in Eastern Washington. You do not have to worry about heartworm disease if you are not traveling outside of this area.

When you hear that heart worm disease is being seen here, it’s being seen an animals that travel outside of our area and come back with the disease. This is not contagious to your animals please do not be alarmed and do not feel that you immediately need to put your animal on heartworm medication. We do not have heartworm transmitted in Washington. Without serious climate change, it will never happen.

If you’re going to be traveling to tropical climate areas or even the south of the United States, then yes you need to be concerned. Everybody do not panic

The incidence of heartworm disease is being investigated at all times by Washington state university parisitology department. They pick up the dead canines on the side of the road including coyotes, these animals are examined for any incidents of heartworm disease so as soon as it does occur you will know about it but it has not occurred in our area
