Sometimes behavioral issues are a reaction to pain or tension in the body, I've been lucky enough to have some amazing equine and human body workers show me some tricks of their trade. This horse was extremely reactive, head shy and spooky. To the point of being dangerous! He carried so much tension in his neck and poll 😔 These session helped him so much and helped re-wired his brain to associate people with relaxation. It breaks my heart to think of all those times I didn't listen, horses aren't inherently bad, in fact they are incredibly tolerant! I mean, they allow us to ride them! Horses are always trying to communicate to us, we just have to learn their language! This horse is clearly communicating! What do you think he's saying?? 🤔

First time backing this cute Brother Jackson c**t! His owners did a great job preparing him for training and he didn't seem bothered one bit!

Meet "Doc" a 4yr old 14.3 grade (QH) gelding
Doc comes from cowhorse and running lines but unfortunately was not able to be registered. His looks, temperament and movement definitely shows he's from quality bloodlines! He is still very green broke and would require a experienced rider at this time. Or a confident rider working with a trainer to finish him out. He has 3 amazing gates and his transitions continue to get better. He, trailers well, ties and is learning to stand better for the farrier. He's currently in training. Message for video and more info. Located in Myers Flat CA

AMEN!!!! No one can do for you what you have to do yourself! Do the work, reap the benefits ♡

Everybody wants a good horse.
But not everybody wants to become the kind of person that makes a horse good.

In today’s world, people expect fast results.

Instant gratification.
Swipe, click, scroll, done.

People expect success to be delivered like an Amazon Prime Order:
fast, easy, and with a smile.

They want to turn their feral horse into a “finished horse” without ever putting in the hours it takes to truly understand one in the first place.

Here’s the thing…
Mastery isn’t downloadable.
A reciprocal relationship can’t be rushed. It is build over time and it comes with highs and lows.

What took others years of learning, failing, watching, refining, people now want handed to them in a weekend clinic, a 10-minute video, a one time exercise, a one-sentence answer or because they bought a course.

The shortcuts people chase are often detours that lead them right back to where they started, just more frustrated this time.

They want the feel, but not the feedback.
They want the bond, but not the humility.
They want the horse to change, but they don’t want to change themselves.

No one can hand you the timing, the feel, the quiet, calm and consistent leadership it takes.

It can’t be downloaded or bought.

You earn that, you develop it, with every consistent rep and step. With patience. With clarity. Through being a lifetime student of the horse.

By showing up on the days it’s hard, boring, frustrating or humbling.

Put in the work.
Put in the hours.
Because Your horse
deserves that version of You.

H.I.T Spotlight- Tex
Tex is a 7yr old QH that came to us for a tune up and evaluation. He had some small holes in his training that when addressed improved him in big ways! Its so important for horses to have good posture when ridden, it all starts here before they are rode! We don't like to fight a horse under saddle because they don't have a understanding of what we're asking and possibly make them resentful. We take the time to help them through ground work first and that transfers to being ridden under saddle!
