This December, those ideas come to life at TerraNova.

From December 3–6, professional horseman Tik Maynard will lead an immersive retreat designed to take riders and horse enthusiasts beyond the traditional clinic. Through private and small-group riding, theory, groundwork, liberty and foundational horsemanship, participants will have the time and space to develop a deeper understanding of their horses and themselves.

Beyond the arena, the retreat will explore mindfulness, equine-assisted wellness, sports psychology and confidence, trail experiences, shared meals and meaningful conversation all within the quiet surroundings of TerraNova’s live oaks and open landscape.

It’s an opportunity to slow down, step away from the pace of everyday life and immerse yourself in the process of learning.

Something special is coming to TerraNova 🌳

This December, we’re welcoming Tik Maynard for an immersive equestrian retreat created for those who wish to connect with nature, strengthen their horsemanship, and step away from the pace of everyday life.

More than a traditional clinic, this experience brings together thoughtful horsemanship, learning, wellness, nature and time to simply enjoy being with your horse.

Set among TerraNova’s live oaks, wildlife and peaceful surroundings, the retreat offers an intimate setting to develop a new perspective and genuine connection.

Participants will stay on site and enjoy chef-crafted meals and thoughtfully planned gatherings throughout the retreat. Between equestrian sessions, guests can explore mindfulness and wellness experiences, trail walks, sports psychology and other curated activities designed to complement the experience.

Although summer is over, the mini fun is just beginning! Our Small Strides 4-H Miniature Horse Club is starting up in September 🍀 Equilibrium is growing and is now offering birthday party opportunities, horsemanship lessons, and more!

TerraNova Equestrian Center is proud to establish a new 4-H Club in Manatee County dedicated to helping young people ages 8–17 learn about miniature horses, horsemanship, animal care, and agriculture.

Through hands-on learning, members will build confidence and develop valuable skills in leadership, communication, project management, organization, and more.

Families interested in learning more are invited to our Open House on August 13 at 6 p.m. at TerraNova Equestrian Center. Come meet the club leaders, learn about the program, and discover what Small Strides has to offer!
