Apothic Pet Mobile Dog Grooming is looking for a reliable, hardworking Grooming Assistant to join our team!
This is a part-time position to start, and I’m looking for someone I can begin training now so they are comfortable, confident, and ready to go when our busy grooming season begins.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs, enjoys hands-on work, and is interested in learning the grooming industry. No professional grooming experience is required for the right person — I’m willing to train!
✂️ What you'll be helping with:
• Bathing and drying dogs
• Brushing and de-shedding
• Helping safely handle and position dogs
• Cleaning and maintaining the grooming van/equipment
• Assisting the groomer throughout appointments
• Providing calm, gentle care to dogs of all sizes

I’m looking for someone who wants to learn and potentially make grooming a career. As your skills develop, there will be opportunities to learn nail care, prep work, basic trimming, grooming techniques, and eventually full dog grooming.

Experience with dogs, kennels, veterinary offices, grooming, bathing, or animal care is a plus, but attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are most important.
📍 Starting Location: You must have reliable transportation and be able to meet near Verna Bethany Rd & State Road 64 in the Myakka City/Manatee County area.
🕣 Typical Start Time: Around 8:30–9:00 AM, depending on the day's grooming schedule.
💼 Part-time to start, with the opportunity for additional hours as you become trained and as we move into busy season.
