Grab the kiddos, grab your friends and grab your momma (Honor Heights Grooming Salon…hint…hint🤭 lol) Let’s all go get some books, and keep Bear’s Bookstore open 📚

Hey everyone, this is going to be a long read but we truly would appreciate you taking the time to read it all!

First and foremost, I want to say that we appreciate all of our wonderful customers, whether you spend $1 or $100 we value each person who walks through our doors. I didn't buy the bookstore in order to get rich or make tons of money, I bought it to share my love of reading with our community and to provide a safe and family friendly environment for everyone to enjoy.

With that being said, it has been a stretch these past few months. While running the store, hosting authors for books signings, hosting pop up shops for small businesses and bakeries, we are also getting ready for the arrival of our first baby in January, and sales are trending lower this month than they have in the past 2 years of owning Bear's. I know we aren't alone with this issue as other small businesses around town are feeling the effects of back to school and low sales just as hard, if not harder, as we are.

I'm not asking for a handout, I am asking each of you to remember to shop at local businesses. When you shop locally you help support families that live here, businesses who sponsor local events and children's sports, and you're helping stimulate our local economy.

Thank you again to all of our wonderful customers, Bear and I love you all!
