Pound Buddies is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding good homes for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.

Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is primarily a volunteer organization that relies on donations and adoption fees for its funding. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Pound Buddies are tax-deductible.

Meet Stella! ❤️

Stella is the perfect combination of sweetness, affection, and playfulness. This beautiful mixed-breed girl is just 1 year and is only 52 pounds. This girl has so much love to give and is hoping to find a family that will love her right back.

One of the cutest things about Stella is the excitement she gets when her caretakers reach her kennel to feed or take her out. She gets so excited to see us that she immediately sits and offers her paw. It's her special way of saying, "Hi, friend!" and it melts hearts every single time. 🥹🐾

Meet Harah ❤️

Some dogs stand out because of their size. Some stand out because of their personality. Harah stands out because of her absolutely adorable ears and her incredibly sweet heart.

At just 1 year old and only 34 pounds, this lovable terrier mix is the perfect medium-sized companion. Harah enjoys the company of other pups, is up to date on her vaccines, walks great on a leash, and is so incredibly gentle and sweet. ❤️

Unfortunately, shelter life has been very stressful for Harah. The constant noise and activity are overwhelming for this young girl, and she's hoping her stay at the shelter will be a short one. We know that once she's in a home where she feels safe and loved, her personality will truly shine.

Doc is an 11 month old black lab mix who weighs only 41 pounds, making him the perfect compact-sized best friend. He’s already neutered and ready to head straight into his forever home!

This sweet boy absolutely LOVES being with his caretakers and thrives on human connection. Whether he’s soaking up attention, following you around, or just happily hanging out nearby, Doc is happiest when he’s with his people.

Doc is also incredibly dog friendly and does an amazing job matching the energy of other dogs. Want a playful buddy? He’s ready to romp. Have a calmer dog? Doc is happy to coexist and chill too. He’s an incredibly socially smart dog that makes introductions and friendships feel easy.

Meet Jada 🐾

Jada is the kind of dog who makes everyone fall in love with her — dogs and humans alike. In fact, she’s one of our MOST dog-friendly dogs at the shelter and is often used for dog testing because of how well she interacts with other dog friends. She is such a sweet little social butterfly. 🦋

Now that her very best dog friend Feather was adopted this week, it’s Jada’s turn to find the loving family she deserves. 🤍

Jada is around 2-3 years old, already spayed, and only 41 pounds — the perfect medium-sized companion! She came into the shelter emaciated and in heartbreaking condition, but despite everything she had been through, she still greeted everyone with a wagging tail and endless kisses. That says everything you need to know about this sweet girl’s spirit.

Unfortunately, black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and are statistically some of the last to be adopted. Let’s not allow Jada to become another statistic. She is joyful, loving, resilient, and so ready to finally know what it feels like to belong to someone.

Meet Eddie 🐾

If you’re looking for a dog with personality AND good looks, Eddie is your guy. This 3 year old Husky weighs about 55 pounds, most of which is probably just fluff. 😅

Eddie is another one of the shelter’s wonderfully goofy boys. He loves other dogs and plays well with both males and females. He keeps his kennel clean, enjoys spending time with his caretakers, is up to date on his immunizations, walks great on a leash, and is gorgeous to boot! He is soooo ready to find the home he’s been searching for.

And while Eddie is definitely fun and silly like a Husky should be, he’s actually not your typical dramatic Husky. He’s all of the fun without quite as much chaos. In fact, Eddie ended up at the shelter because he jumped INTO someone’s yard, not out of one. We think he was just trying to find himself a family to love. 🥺

At 42 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of playful puppy and growing companion. She’s old enough to have moved past the tiny puppy stage, but still young enough to learn all the basics, manners, and training that will help her become an incredible lifelong best friend.

Darci enjoys spending time with her dog friends and absolutely loves getting out and about with staff. She’s eager, smart, curious, and truly the epitome of a young German Shepherd.

Unfortunately, shelter life is starting to become stressful for Darci. She’s at the age where she really needs stability, guidance, and a family of her own to help her thrive. Behind those adorable ears and sweet face is a young dog just waiting for someone to give her the chance she deserves.
