Pound Buddies Pound Buddies is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding good homes for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.

Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is primarily a volunteer organization that relies on donations and adoption fees for its funding. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Pound Buddies are tax-deductible.

We have some really special people to thank for some really special things! Don and Michael from Journey Construction helped with repairs to our gate and doors which have been a concern for some time. And the folks from Garrison Dental helped us get our play yards ready for the cold weather and left us with a wonderful donation. Thank you, thank you for your time, talent and treasure! Help from people like you allow us to redirect resources to much needed shelter supplies and operations and we are so very grateful!

Remember Teeter from our Friday post? 😍❤️ Well, meet his daughter, Bailey! And let us tell you… the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree! 🌳🐶

Bailey is basically the female version of Teeter, and if you know Teeter, you already know that’s a pretty wonderful thing! 😂❤️

This beautiful girl is under a year old, a Mastiff mix, and a professional wiggle-butt! 🤣💕 When Bailey sees her people (or literally anyone), her whole body starts wiggling with excitement. She LOVES being around people, and she will never leave you wondering whether she’s happy to see you. 🥹❤️

Bailey is still a young girl with so much life ahead of her, and we would love nothing more than to see her grow up surrounded by a family who adores her as much as she’ll adore them.

She’s got the wiggles, she’s got the love, she’s got the looks (natural pouty lips every girl will be jealous of), and she’s got that Teeter charm. Now all she needs is someone to call her own. 🏡💗

❤️Teeter & Calvin ❤️

Fridays have become a BLAST around here because it’s the day we pick a dog or two to come up to the front office and hang out with staff! 🥹❤️

Today, we split our time between two very deserving gentlemen. Half the day was spent doing what has affectionately become known as “Teeter Time” (after two Fridays with Teeter, we can officially say it’s a thing 🤣), and the other half was spent with our sweet boy, Calvin.

Both boys are calm, low-energy gentlemen who would make absolutely wonderful companions. They’re the kind of dogs who could make an ordinary day feel a whole lot better just by being part of it.

Let’s introduce you to our handsome office assistants! 🐶👇

🐾 TEETER 😍 The King of Cuddle Time

* 🐶 About 2 years old
* ❤️ Mastiff mix

* 🧹 Keeps his kennel clean

Where do we even begin with this boy?!

Teeter might just be the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. And we’re not saying that lightly. ❤️

His signature move is to sit down, scoot his big ol’ backside as close to you as physically possible, and then look straight up into your eyes.

And THAT LOOK. 😭

You know that feeling when something fills a little space in your heart that you didn’t even realize was empty? That cup runneth over kind of feeling? That’s Teeter.

He’s got a big ol’ head that is practically BEGGING to be smooched approximately 847 times a day and there is absolutely no way to deny him. 🤣💋

We think somebody out there is missing out on a whole lot of Teeter Time. 🥹❤️

🐾 CALVIN ❤️ The Handsome Little Shadow

Calvin is another one of those boys who makes spending time with him feel like a little gift. ❤️

This handsome guy LOVES his people and gets SO incredibly happy when someone gives him attention. You can just tell that being near people makes his day! (The tail is a good indicator 🤣)

And then there’s his love of toys. 😂🧸 Now, does he necessarily want to play with them? Not exactly! Calvin seems perfectly content carrying his favorite toys around in his mouth. Why play with a toy when you can simply es**rt it everywhere you go? 🤣

He’s a smart boy, a great leash walker, and a calm companion who would love to be someone’s buddy. He’s got that wonderful, easygoing presence that makes you happy just to have him nearby.

Calvin doesn’t need to be the center of a party. He’d just love to be part of YOUR everyday life. ❤️

✨ TWO BOYS. TWO BIG HEARTS. TWO VERY GOOD REASONS TO VISIT POUND BUDDIES. ✨

Teeter and Calvin have been brightening our days at the shelter, but what we REALLY want is for them to brighten someone’s days at home. They deserve families of their own, cozy spots to relax, people to love, and all the affection their hearts can hold.

Meet Twin! 😍

Those EARS. Those eyes. That sweet little face. We’re pretty sure Twin didn’t get the memo that he’s supposed to make it easy for us not to fall in love with him. 😂❤️

Twin is a 1 year old, 55-pound Kelpie mix who is just the sweetest guy. One of his favorite things to do is sit right at your feet, look up at you with those soft, loving eyes, and quietly ask for some attention. There’s just no way to say no to that face!!! 🥹

He walks nicely on leash, is dog-friendly with both boys and girls, and he’s one smart cookie! 🧠 We have a feeling Twin is going to be a very trainable guy once he has his own person to learn from and bond with. He’s eager, attentive, and clearly interested in what his humans are doing, which is a pretty great combination when it comes to training!

Twin is up to date on his immunizations and ready to find the person who will appreciate his sweet nature, his smarts, and those absolutely ridiculous ears. 😍😍😍 He just might end up being the best friend you v been searching for!

POUND BUDDIES DOG OF THE DAY! ❤️

🐾 INTRODUCING BONNIE! 🐾

Bonnie may have had a bit of a rough start to life, but she certainly hasn’t let that stop her from giving out ALL the love she has to offer. ❤️

Bonnie is about 3 years old, weighs just 33 pounds, and is up to date on her immunizations. She has already had her heart worm test (negative) and did AMAZING for the little poke. No drama for this queen! 👸

Recently, Bonnie got to go out on the town, and watching her experience all the sights, sounds, and smells of the world was enough to make anyone’s heart smile. 🌸 She’s incredibly curious about life and everything she’s been missing. She loves stopping to smell the flowers, people watching, and taking it all in. She’s ready for someone to show her just how wonderful this big world can be when you have someone by your side.

And at a petite size, Bonnie is pretty much the perfect little adventure companion. ❤️ She’d be happy traveling with you, going for walks, snuggling on the couch, or doing just about anything and everything you want, with her right beside you.

Oh, and snacks? BONNIE IS A FAN. 😂🍪 Give this girl a special treat and her entire body seems to celebrate. Her excitement is absolutely contagious!

Bonnie has so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to show her that life (and humans) can be every bit as wonderful and loving as she is.

Cassie is about 1 year old, 35 pounds, already spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her immunizations. She is READY to find her people! ❤️

As for what breed she is… 🤔
Husky?
Aussie?
Shiba Inu?
Maybe a little bit of everything?

Honestly, we have no idea. 😂 But we do know one thing for sure:

She is 100% GOOD GIRL. 🥰

Cassie is a young, happy, energetic gal who seems to think life is pretty darn exciting! Her positive energy is so completely contagious, and when she’s around her people, her happy little smile comes out and she just radiates so much joy. 🥹

She LOVES being with people and wants to be right there with you. In fact, Cassie is quite the little hugger! ❤️ She loves getting close, soaking up affection, and giving plenty of love right back.

She’s got plenty of youthful energy, so she’d love a family who is ready to keep up with her and give her opportunities to play, explore, learn, and just be her silly, happy self.

We may not know exactly what’s in her DNA…

…but we know what’s in her heart. ❤️

Meet Snape! ❤️

At just 10 months old, this handsome Cane Corso/American Staffordshire Terrier mix is still figuring out this big, confusing world. Snape can be a nervous guy at first. But underneath that initial uncertainty is an incredibly sweet young dog who is just waiting for someone to help him find his confidence. We think he deserves someone who will take the time to show him that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. 🥹

And here’s something we LOVE about Snape: he’s dog-friendly! 🐶❤️ In fact, having other dogs around seems to help bring him out of his shell. Watching him start to relax and show more of his personality is pretty darn special.

Because once Snape gets comfortable, you start discovering that this boy has a SENSE OF HUMOR. 😂 You might not see it immediately, but spend a little time with him and suddenly you’re catching all his goofy little antics. He has a way of making you laugh when you least expect it, and we have a feeling there will never be a dull moment with this guy. ❤️

Snape doesn’t need someone looking for a perfect, confident dog right from the start. He needs his person!He needs someone patient, kind, and willing to help him learn that he’s safe, loved, and home. ❤️

Meet Rogan! ❤️

This handsome guy is about 1 year old, 51 pounds, and still growing into himself—but he’s already growing some BIG feelings for his favorite people! 🥹

Rogan absolutely LOVES his people, and when he spots one of his favorite caregivers, his whole back end goes into overdrive. 😂 His butt wiggle gets going SO fast, and honestly, it’s one of those little things that you can’t help but smile at. 🥰

He’s still young, playful, and ready to have some fun, but he’s also reached that wonderful age where he’s eager to please and ready to learn. That combination makes him a great candidate for continuing his training and learning all about life with his forever family. ❤️

Meet Carly! This gorgeous girl is a young adult, weighs just 44 pounds, and is a beautiful Yellow Labrador Retriever mix. 🐾💛

When Carly first arrived at the shelter, she was incredibly shy and shut down. The world felt like a pretty scary place, and she wasn’t quite sure she could trust the people around her. She would sit up on her cot with her head hung, avoiding any and all interaction.

But then something amazing happened. 🥹

With a little patience, kindness, and time, Carly started to open up. She began to trust, letting her personality peek through. That fun, sweet girl who was hiding underneath started to SHINE. ✨

Today, Carly is ready for the next chapter. She’s looking for her forever family. She deserves a family that’ll continue showing her that it’s okay to play, it’s okay to love, and it’s okay to let that beautiful personality shine. A family that will show her just how wonderful life can be. ❤️
