Congratulations to little Terry on finding his pawfect match!
His new mom fell in love almost instantly, and grandma has already started spoiling him with new toys. We see so many cuddles, happy moments, and lots of laughter ahead for this sweet family. Wishing Terry a lifetime of love and happiness in his forever home!

We love sharing happy updates after a beloved foster finds their forever home — and today we’re celebrating Falkore. Many of you may remember him arriving at our rescue in heartbreaking condition, with a body condition score of just 1. He was so severely underweight that our vet gave him only a 50/50 chance of making it.

Thankfully, Falkore landed with an incredible foster family who went above and beyond to give him the care, love, and support he needed. Along the way, he formed a very special bond with the youngest member of the family… and it quickly became clear he was already home.

In the months since joining our rescue, Falkore has absolutely thrived. He’s now at a healthy weight, feeling great, and has become the best foster brother to several other dogs who needed a safe place to land. Watching his transformation has been nothing short of amazing.

We couldn’t be happier for Falkore and his forever family.

His story is a beautiful reminder that foster homes truly change lives. They give animals a chance to heal, to feel safe, and to find the future they deserve.

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲
We have some big news on Daisy! An incredible vet tech from For Pets' Sake Veterinary Clinic stepped up to foster her through recovery, giving Daisy the best chance possible at a full and happy life.

After more discussion with Dr. Tim Schmidt, the decision was made to try to save Daisy’s leg instead of amputating. Once surgery began, it turned out to be more involved than originally expected—the bone had already started healing in the wrong position, making the repair delicate and intricate. Daisy needed a bone graft along with plates and screws, but she made it through surgery and is now on the road to recovery.

She has a long 12-week healing journey ahead, but she’ll be recovering in an experienced foster home with someone who has medical knowledge and will be able to give her the care she needs every step of the way.

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated, shared her story, and supported Daisy. As a nonprofit rescue, we truly could not help dogs like Daisy without you. This surgery was a major expense, and every share and donation makes a real difference.

Meet Jonah! This handsome boy is equal parts playful and loving. He loves to run, play fetch, and be right by your side soaking up attention. Jonah is great with kids, crate trained, potty trained, and has been accident-free in foster care. He’s met cats and was excited to make friends, though they weren’t quite as interested. He hasn’t had much experience with other dogs yet, so that’s still unknown. He’s a very good boy with a big heart, lots of personality, and he’s currently working on keeping all four paws on the ground when he gets excited to see his people. Jonah is ready to find a family of his own to love!

Requirements: German Shepherd or similar breed experience.

Update on Daisy - She will be having her surgery tomorrow, and we’re hopeful this is another big step toward healing for this deserving girl. She’s been through so much already, and we’re incredibly grateful she’s getting the care she needs.

After surviving repeated attacks in her previous home, Daisy came to Best Paws Rescue needing urgent care for puncture wounds and infection. Once she healed, we thought she had finally found her happy ending in an adoptive home.

Then we got the heartbreaking call: Daisy had fractured her front paw. Her adopter couldn’t afford the medical care she needed and chose not to follow the vet’s recommendation to keep her strictly inactive. By the time Daisy came back to us, the fracture had become a severe splintered break.

Now our vet believes amputation is her only option.

Daisy’s emergency care, surgery, and recovery are expected to cost around $7,000.

Through it all, Daisy is still sweet, loving, and full of life. She deserves the chance to heal and finally feel safe.

Please help us welcome Samira & Jonah to the rescue!

These two adorable pups recently arrived from Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) and will be available for adoption soon!

Samira is a darling 6-month-old Terrier mix with a playful spirit and lots of puppy energy. She loves playing with other dogs and is always up for a game of fetch… though bringing the ball back is still a work in progress. We think that just adds to her charm!

Jonah is a handsome 8-month-old German Shepherd with a sweet, goofy puppy personality. He’s still very much a youngster and has all the lovable puppy traits to prove it.

For the next few days, both Samira and Jonah will be taking some time to decompress, settle into rescue life, and let us get to know their personalities a little better so we can find the best possible forever homes for each of them.

This Memorial Day, Best Paws Rescue is taking a moment to reflect with gratitude on the brave heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We hope everyone has a peaceful Memorial Day spent with loved ones—two-legged and four-legged alike. Thank you to those who served, and we honor the memory of those who gave everything.

Congratulations to Saffron on finding her Pawfect Match!

We’re so excited for Saffron as she heads off to her forever home! This sweet girl found the perfect family and will have two feline brothers waiting to welcome her and help her feel right at home.
