Happy June!🎡⛱️

With the warmer weather setting in, we are booking up quickly! We are booking out about 2 weeks on average this season. If you need to get in for your pet's routine grooming appointment, please plan to book in advance by at least 2 weeks.

A friendly reminder that we are an appointment based service provider only- when clients book appointments, we are relying on them showing up for that appointment. It gets hard to accommodate booking requests when appointments are made and then cancelled or rebooked the day before or day of the scheduled appointment. We do ask for minimally 24 hours advanced notice if you need to change an appointment, to avoid fees.

We try our hardest to fit clients in when requesting specific days or times, but please understand that as a growing business, we are building a large client list and cannot always accommodate requested times or days.

As always, we are offering $10 off new client appointments, AND we are also introducing a referral program for existing clients! If you are a new client and were referred to us by someone you know, let Alayna know who sent you and they will receive a a credit to be used at their next grooming appointment! 😁

Already today, before noon, I’ve pulled 6 ticks off of dogs. Only one of them was dead; the rest very alive and mobile.
This tells me neither of the two dogs I pulled them off of are on monthly preventions.
While I (and your veterinarian) recommend keeping your pets on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention year round- it’s especially important this time of year in our area.

Please keep your pets on preventatives- I promise you they’re significantly more affordable and humane than treating Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, etc.

Today marks one full year of Star Pet Grooming of Muskego! I am so incredibly grateful for the clients who have trusted us with their four legged family members thus far. The ones who have been patient while we worked to build a routine, & the ones who were understanding when we experienced some technical difficulties with things like frozen water pipes and scheduling errors. And especially the ones who have referred their friends and family to us for services, big or small! Words cannot express the gratitude I am feeling today. ☺️

Happy January, everyone!

I want to thank you all for the patience you have had with me these last few weeks.
Christmas Eve, my family and I left for a trip to Washington DC! I don’t often take much time off during the year, so it was important to me to dedicate some time to my kids and husband before year’s end.
We returned on New Year’s Eve. As expected with travel, I woke up feeling pretty sick on January 1st, but hoped it was just a quick cold that might pass with some extra hydration and vitamins! By the 5th, I knew something more serious was going on and went to get checked out. Unfortunately, I tested positive for RSV- an incredibly contagious and long lasting respiratory virus.
In an effort to keep everyone (both clients and my coworkers) safe and get myself rested so I can function at 100% for my clients- I took the first half of this week off to stay home and recover. I am thankful for the clients who were understanding and flexible with rebooking their appointments- you are STARS!
I plan to return to the clinic tomorrow for regularly scheduled services.

If you have an appointment booked within the next week or two, please bear with me on timing as my lungs may take a bit to recover and I’m moving at a slower pace.

If you have sent in an online request for services- I have not gone through them yet and will get started on that when I get in bright and early tomorrow. I will reach out to get you booked as soon as possible, though we are gaining a lot of traction as a business and are booking out around 2 weeks at this time.

Again, I apologize for any delays this has caused in communication and hope you all know how eager I am to get back into the swing of things! Thank you for your continued patience.

While the clinic will still be open (please see post below for limited hours on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve) for the holiday week, the grooming salon will be closed for services until January 2nd when Alayna returns from her vacation.
