Muscatine Humane Society

Muscatine Humane Society Our goal is to find all of our animals loving, forever homes. We hold several fundraisers throughout the year.

The Muscatine Humane Society operates as an animal shelter and a city pound for stray animals as well as owner surrendered animals in our community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to educate the public about the importance of and dire necessity to spay and neuter their pets, to prevent the needless suffering that follows overpopulation. Concurrently, the Society provides a safe haven for los

t or abandoned animals until their owners or a new home can be obtained. The humane society is a privately owned non-profit organization which is funded by personal donations. Without fundraising the humane society would not be able to launch any new programs or fund new projects.

Thank you Caitlin Costigan
Her goal is to donate $10,000 to the Muscatine Humane Society by Christmas. She is queen of the Squishies and Needohs. If your kids might be asking for these for Christmas she will have some of the unique and hard to find ones available so stay tuned to Facebook. Today she donated 1/10th of her goal. $1000.00 has been received! Whoop whoop for us and Kudos to Caitlin.

This stray was brought in from Oak St.. He is in intact male and has an old injury to his left rear leg. The vet thought he has a fractured knee that has healed leaving him with a very still hand leg. Hes super friendly and attractive.
