Here in Southern California, we love being outdoors — and so do our pets. But the moment your pet starts spending time outside, whether it’s hiking, walking through the neighborhood, playing at the park, or simply hanging out in the backyard, there is the potential for tick exposure.

And ticks are more than just an unpleasant parasite.

A single tick bite can transmit serious diseases, including Lyme disease, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and Babesiosis. These illnesses can cause symptoms ranging from fever, lethargy, joint pain, and loss of appetite to anemia, bleeding abnormalities, organ complications, and potentially life-threatening illness.
