A typical day at horse camp is packed with adventure, creativity, confidence building, and so many sweet barn memories 🤍🐴

Campers start the morning learning hands-on horse care like grooming, tacking up, and getting their horses ready for the day. These moments help kids build responsibility, confidence, and a true connection with the horses they love.

Next comes everyone’s favorite part… riding lessons! Riders spend time in the saddle learning new skills, practicing balance and steering, playing mounted games, and building confidence in a safe and encouraging environment.

Of course, camp wouldn’t be complete without lunch with friends. So many friendships are made at the barn through shared laughs, pony stories, and fun moments together between activities.

Our horsemanship workshops give campers the chance to learn beyond riding. From horse breeds and colors to tack, safety, anatomy, and horse behavior, kids leave camp with real knowledge and a deeper understanding of horses.

When the weather heats up, the fun continues with water games, splash activities, and outdoor play that keep everyone laughing and cool during summer camp days.

And we always make time for crafts and creativity! Campers enjoy themed projects, painting, hands-on activities, and special keepsakes to bring home from their week at the barn.

Last weekend our coaches and riders had the incredible opportunity to learn from Grand Prix rider .hardin at a wonderful clinic focused on developing smart course strategies and learning how to confidently execute a plan in the ring. There is so much value in learning not just how to ride, but how to think through each course with intention and preparation.

We are so grateful for this experience and proud of how much everyone learned throughout the weekend.

A huge thank you to for hosting such a beautiful and thoughtfully organized event. The facility is stunning, the atmosphere was so welcoming, and we feel incredibly lucky to have something like this here in the Temecula area.

✨🏇🏼Santa Anita Park with our Pony Club region! 🏇🏼✨

Yesterday our USPC members had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the Thoroughbred racing industry and experience firsthand all the moving parts that make race day possible. From breakfast at Clocker’s Corner and learning about morning workouts, to touring the equine hospital, receiving barn, silks room, broadcast studio, paddock, and even watching Race 1 from the Winner’s Circle, every moment was packed with learning and excitement.

A huge thank you to Keirsti and the Southern California Region for providing such an amazing opportunity for our Pony Club members. We are so grateful to everyone at Santa Anita who took the time to teach, answer questions, and share their passion for the sport with our kids. The enthusiasm and love they had for horses and racing was truly contagious.

Experiences like this are what Pony Club is all about: education, horsemanship, and exposing young riders to all the incredible career paths and opportunities within the horse world. Such a memorable and educational day for everyone involved! ❤️

🚨Important Barn Closure Update May 8-9:

Please note that the barn will be closed for lessons on May 8–9. While our regular closure typically falls at the end of the month, this month’s closure has been moved forward as our coaches will be attending a training clinic during this time.

As always, our scheduled closures are thoughtfully planned and fall on days within months that have five weeks, ensuring that riders still receive their four paid lessons while giving our horses a chance to rest and recharge. This adjustment also allows our team to bring back valuable knowledge and skills to better serve our riders.
