Update: The surgery went well, she’s taking a while to get moving and wake up fully, but that’s to be expected with the type of infection she had. She hasn’t eaten anything yet, but is getting IV antibiotics. She’s lifting her head and did let her sass show when the vet tried to take her re**al temp. They will call me on the morning to talk about when she can go home.

We are heart broken to say that Penny will not be having any pups. She was not acting herself; refusing all foods and very lethargic. We took her to the vet and Penny has pyometra. It is a serious uterine infection. She will have her uterus removed tomorrow morning. We are so very sad that Penny will no longer have pups, but also glad that we caught it early enough and Penny will hopefully be feeling better soon.

We’ve been quiet over here, it’s time for some updates:

We ordered a DNA test for Franklin and we are waiting on the results! I’ll post those when they come through.

And the kids like to build a”cave” with our modular couch. It has become Penny’s go to spot in the house 😂

Exciting Announcement 📣 Franklin has come to stay with us for a few days, we are hoping to breed Penny one last time ‼️‼️‼️

This will be Penny’s third litter and her second litter with Franklin. 🐶🐶🐶

Penny’s last litter with Franklin produced 9 puppies, 4 red and 5 tri-color. We are hoping for a mixture again this time!

The puppies should be born mid-late August and ready for homes end of October/early November! Stay tuned for updates!
