Solid Rock Veterinary Clinic will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

🚨 We will still be available for emergencies. If your pet experiences an emergency please call 618-318-2497 and leave a voicemail for assistance.

We will resume our normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th, from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

This Labor Day, we want to give a HUGE thank you to all of the hardworking individuals who keep our communities running. Especially our amazing staff, who work tirelessly every day to care for our patients and their families. ❤️🐾

We hope everyone has a safe, happy, and relaxing 3-day weekend! Enjoy some well-deserved time with family, friends, and of course, your four-legged family members!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made our Open House such a wonderful success! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to all of our amazing clients who spent the day with us celebrating our new large animal facility. Seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new friends, and sharing this milestone with everyone made the day truly unforgettable

A very special thank you to The Caribbean Hut and Cielito Azul for serving up such delicious food and helping make the day even more enjoyable!

We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to all of the rescues and shelters who joined us to showcase some incredible animals looking for their forever homes. Your dedication to these animals is inspiring, and we were honored to have you with us.

Thank you to our wonderful clients who brought their own animals to meet everyone, they were definitely some of the stars of the day!

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and neither could the company. We feel so fortunate to be surrounded by such an incredible community. Thank you for your continued support of Solid Rock Veterinary Clinic. We can’t wait to see you all again at future events! 💙🤍

Campbell Hill picnic was a blast! We all enjoyed the parade and we even won second place in our business class!

🇺🇸 Holiday Hours Reminder ❤️🤍💙

In observance of Independence Day and the 250th Anniversary Celebration, Solid Rock Veterinary Clinic will close early at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 3.

We will return to our normal business hours on Monday, July 6.

Emergency Services🚨:

• Saturday, July 4: We will not be available for emergency services.

• Sunday, July 5: We will be available for established client emergencies only.

If your pet needs medication refills, prescription food, or any other supplies, please be sure to stop by before 12:00 PM on Friday.

☀️🐾 Summer Fun Starts with Pet Safety! 🐾☀️

Summer is a great time for adventures, cookouts, vacations, and time outdoors with your pets, but it’s also important to be aware of seasonal dangers that can quickly turn a fun day into an emergency.

🌡️ Beat the Heat:
- Walk and exercise during the cooler morning or evening hours.
- Always provide plenty of fresh water.
- Make sure your pet has access to shade.
- Be mindful of hot pavement—it can burn sensitive paw pads.If it’s too hot for the back of your hand for 5–7 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.
- Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle, even for a few minutes
- If your pet spends time around a pool, make sure they know where the steps or exit are located!

Pool safety is pet safety! Make sure your pet has an easy way to exit the pool and never leave them unattended near the water. Even strong swimmers can become exhausted if they can’t find their way out. 🏊☀️

⚠️ Watch for Signs of Heat Stroke:
- Excessive panting or drooling
- Vomiting
- Weakness or disorientation
- Seizures or collapse
If you suspect heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately.

🍔 Summer Cookout Hazards:
Keep these common items away from your pets:
🚫 Corn cobs
🚫 Fatty meat scraps and cooked bones🚫 Onions, garlic, and grapes
🚫 Alcoholic and caffeinated beverages
🚫 Glow sticks
🚫 Human insect repellents containing DEET

Many of these can cause serious illness, choking, or intestinal blockages.
A little prevention goes a long way toward keeping your furry family members safe all summer long. If you have questions about your pet’s health or safety this season, give us a call, we’re always happy to help!

EXCITING NEWS!!!

Diane suprised us today with a new addition to the solid rock animal family. Knew there was a baby on the way just wasnt sure exactly when. Baby and mom are both doing great. Cannot wait to watch this little baby girl grow up.
