Calm weather conditions are expected in Middle today, making it a good day to finalize your winter storm preparations. Here is the latest forecast from USNWS:

🌨️ A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for the entire area from Friday evening through Sunday.

❄️ Precipitation types are likely going to be messy and complicated. This isn't going to be a straightforward snow event as chances for ice continue to increase. With that said, we are still eyeing areas north of I-40 for the best chances for several inches of snow. Areas south of I-40 are more favored for ice accumulations.

🧊 Despite uncertainty still regarding precipitation type, we are still confident that significant impacts will be felt this weekend.

🥶 Frigid temperatures will be in place this weekend and into early next week, likely prolonging impacts for several days.
