🐾 A Special Thank You to Our Puppy Families 🐾

As I look back over the past couple of weeks, I realized that in all of the excitement, emotions, paperwork, goodbyes, and puppy pickups, I completely forgot to take go-home photos for a few of our puppies.

While I wish I had captured every departure, what matters most is knowing that each puppy is exactly where they belong.

Since go-home day, I have appreciated every message, photo, and update that has been shared. Hearing how well the puppies are adjusting, seeing them settle into their new homes, and watching the bonds form with their families has brought me a tremendous amount of joy.

I'd like to give a special shout-out to the three puppies whose go-home photos I missed:

❤️ Zoey joined Sheila and Scott and is settling into her new home in Ohio beautifully.

❤️ Cricket joined Coral and Joshua in southern Ohio and has been keeping them busy with all the fun and adventures that come with a growing puppy.

❤️ Ashina joined Heather and Eric in New York, where she now has a beautiful 50-acre property to explore and enjoy.

Thank you for keeping me updated and for sharing your experiences as these puppies settle into their new lives. Being able to follow along and watch their progress has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and the updates make me smile every time I receive one.

After spending ten weeks raising seven puppies, the house and yard certainly feel different now. It's a little quieter, a little less hectic, and at times it feels like an empty nest. While I don't miss cleaning up after seven puppies and 2 adult dogs, I do miss seeing them racing around the yard every day.

Sometimes I find myself amazed at where these seven puppies have ended up. Just a few months ago they were all together here at Highland, and today they are beginning to live their best lives in New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Minnesota, southern Ohio, elsewhere in Ohio, and even right here close to home. Watching their journeys begin has been one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.

I am honored by the trust each of you placed in Highland Norwegian Elkhounds and our breeding program, and I truly couldn't be happier with the homes and families each of these puppies has found.

❤️ Karl, Zoey, Mack, Kai, Ashina, Cricket, and Fenrir will always be part of the Highland family. ❤️

Thank you all for making this litter so special. I look forward to watching these puppies grow and following their adventures for years to come.

🐾 Fenrir Has Gone Home! 🐾

Yesterday, Fenrir headed home with Marshall and his family to begin his next adventure in Texas.

From the very beginning and the first born, Fenrir stood out as a confident, curious, and adventurous puppy. He was always eager to explore, investigate something new, and see what was happening around him. He has a wonderful balance of independence and affection, making him a joy to raise over the past ten weeks.

Marshall and his family made an adventure out of the trip, spending time exploring this part of the country before heading back to Texas and taking Fenrir along for the ride. Not long after they left, I received a photo showing that Fenrir had already settled in very well. ❤️

It has been a little quiet around here since he left. After ten weeks of raising seven puppies, the house and yard suddenly feel like an empty nest. It's certainly less hectic, but I already miss seeing Fenrir and his littermates running around every day.

I am truly honored that Marshall and his family made the trip all the way from Texas for a Highland puppy. As breeders, we put so much time, effort, and love into raising these puppies, and it means a lot when families place that kind of trust in us. Most importantly, I couldn't be happier with where Fenrir is going.

Thank you, Marshall and family, for choosing a Highland puppy and for giving Fenrir such a wonderful home. We can't wait to watch him grow and follow his adventures for years to come.

🐾 **A Belated Go Home Post for Kai!** 🐾

On June 5th, Kai headed home with Kelsi and her family to Pennsylvania to begin his next adventure.

Kai has always been full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He was often one of the first puppies to investigate something new, and he approached life with confidence and excitement. Whether he was carrying around a toy, exploring the yard, or playing with his littermates, Kai always seemed ready for whatever came next.

He has a playful spirit, loves interaction, and was always eager to see what was happening around him. Watching him grow during his time here was a lot of fun.

From the smile on Kelsi's face and the way Kai settled into her arms, I think it's safe to say they were both happy with the match. ❤️

Thank you, Kelsi and family, for choosing a Highland puppy and for giving Kai such a wonderful home. While we miss him here in Ohio, we know he has a bright future ahead of him in Pennsylvania.

We can't wait to watch this handsome boy grow and follow his adventures for years to come.

🐾 **A Belated Go Home Post for Mack!** 🐾

On June 4th, Mack headed home with Sam and Rob to begin his next adventure.

Mack has always been a special boy. Confident, affectionate, and full of personality, he approached everything with enthusiasm. Whether he was playing with his littermates, exploring the yard, or looking for attention, he always seemed happy to be part of the action.

One thing that makes Mack's story especially meaningful is that he didn't go far. His new family lives nearby, which means we'll have the opportunity to see him from time to time and watch him grow. As a breeder, that's a wonderful gift.

From the smiles in these photos, I think it's safe to say everyone was happy with the match. ❤️

Thank you, Sam and Rob, for giving Mack such a loving home. While we miss him here, we know he's exactly where he's meant to be.

We can't wait to watch this handsome boy grow and share in his future adventures.

🐾 **A Belated Go Home Post for Karl!** 🐾

On June 4th, Karl headed home with Ann and began his journey to Minnesota.

Karl has always been a special puppy to me. He is affectionate, social, and has one of those personalities that makes people fall in love with him quickly. Watching him grow over the past eight weeks has been a privilege, and saying goodbye was definitely bittersweet.

The connection between Karl and Ann was obvious from the moment they met. Seeing him settle into her arms gave me confidence that he was exactly where he was meant to be.

While I miss this handsome boy, I couldn't be happier with the wonderful home waiting for him. Thank you, Ann, for trusting Highland Norwegian Elkhounds with your newest family member.
