Our very sweet boy, Chance, living his best life and and his doggie brother, Kip, were featured in UPS Dogs (a great page to follow). Last week Chance and his Mom, Corrinne, reciprocated and delivered much needed office supplies and doggie and kitty supplies to the Shelter. A great big THANK YOU to Corinne and Chance for the goodies and we love this post of Kip and Chance. What a great write up *see below!
Some dogs take fence security VERY seriously. 😂🐾 But once you’re on the right side of the fence, everything changes.
Chance, the all-white pup, was rescued from a local humane society four years ago. He’s believed to be around 8 years old and is considered a Texas Ghost White Heeler, a merle cross Cattle Dog. Chance came with plenty of stories from his past, but over the years he’s worked through most of them and has become one seriously cool dog. ❤️
His buddy Kip, the blue merle Australian Shepherd, is almost 12. Kip was born with Merle Ocular Dysgenesis and juvenile cataracts, leaving him nearly blind. He may only see shapes these days, but his hearing and nose work just fine…and apparently that brown uniform smells pretty darn good. 😂
Their UPS driver Kyle had brought Cori a heavy package and carried it inside after the dogs were put away. When everything was delivered, Cori asked Kyle if he wanted to meet the crew.
Kyle said YES.
And this was the result. ❤️
For Chance especially, this was more than just meeting the UPS guy. It was another little piece of his past being replaced with a good experience.
And judging by Kip…who needs eyesight when you can smell a UPS driver from across the yard? 😂🐶
All of Cori’s dogs are rescues, and on this day Kyle became part of Chance’s story too.
