Part snuggle bug, part neighborhood watch captain — Wakanda is a 3½‑year‑old, 16‑lb Rat Terrier/Chi mix looking for his perfect home. He came from a hoarding situation, so he’s still learning about the world… but blankets, toys, and snacks? Those he understands VERY well.

Favorites:
🐾 Burrowing under blankets
🐾 Treats (all of them)
🐾 Toys + bones
🐾 Walks + backyard exploring
🐾 Sticking close to “his person”

He’s crate trained, potty trained with reminders, and working on confidence. Once he trusts you, he’s a tiny, loyal bodyguard with a big heart.

Wakanda needs:
🏡 A quieter home with a fenced yard
👨‍👩‍👧 Adults/older kids
🐶 Continued training + patience
🚫 No apartments/shared walls

He warms up faster to women and is still learning men can be safe too. Underneath the cautious exterior is a goofy, devoted little dog ready for his person.

🐱🙏 NAME THE KITTENS! $100 DONATION🙏🐱

These four sweet kittens were found outside in Waukegan, being thrown and tossed around by some kids. Now, they’re safe, comfy and exploring their new foster home. ❤️

Our ten parvo puppies are improving with 8 now at home! We will do everything we need to do to save the other two and continue progress, but they are accumulating more vet bills every day.

At 2 years old and 17 pounds, Todd is a handsome Shih Tzu with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. ❤️

Todd isn’t the life of the party—and that’s exactly what makes him so special! He’s a laid-back, reserved guy who prefers cozy couch time over chaos. His favorite things include snuggling beside his people on the couch or in a comfy chair, chasing tennis balls, and running around the yard with his doggy housemates. 🎾🏡

🐾 FAST FOOD LITTER UPDATE 🐾

We have both good news and not-so-good news to share about our brave Fast Food puppies.

First, the good news: 6 of the puppies were able to leave urgent care last night and are now back in their foster home, where they are doing well and continuing their recovery. This is a huge milestone, and we are so grateful to see these babies making progress. 💕

The not-so-good news is that 4 puppies remain hospitalized in urgent care and still need intensive treatment and monitoring.

We are especially concerned about Culver's and Sonic. Culver's is not eating well and continues to need significant support. Sonic is eating, which is encouraging, but his protein levels remain low and he is having difficulty using his back legs. Additional testing may be needed to determine what is causing these complications and how best to help him.💔

While we are celebrating the victories, our hearts remain with the puppies who are still fighting. Recovery from parvo is often a roller coaster, and we are taking things one day at a time.

We cannot thank our Reach Rescue village enough for the incredible love, prayers, support, shares, and donations you have given these puppies. Your generosity has helped give them a fighting chance, and we are endlessly grateful!!! ♥️

We are still collecting donations to help cover the ongoing medical expenses for the puppies who remain in urgent care. Every dollar helps provide the treatment, testing, and care they need as they continue their fight.

Please keep Culver's, Sonic, and their siblings in your thoughts as they continue this journey. We will continue to share updates as we have them. ♥️🐾
