Emerald Paws Pet Grooming Parlor

Today at Emerald Paws we got to do something special…

Not many dogs will get to celebrate their 16th birthday. With large breed dogs it is even rarer to see.

But on Monday, sweet Nila will turn 16 years old! Nila is a fan favorite around here for her sweet and gentle attitude, wet kisses, and slow swaying tail wags.

So of course for her grooming appointment today we had to celebrate! Christian threw Nila her very own “Sweet 16” party. Balloons, streamers, and decorations included of course! Nila even got a special birthday cookie and present to take home with her.

Everyone tell Nila Happy Birthday in the comments and wish her lots of love 💚🐾

Hershey Groom Expo Trade Show HAUL!

We got the cutest accessories, sharpest shears, drool worthy scents, and more today at the first day of the trade show 🐾

It was so amazing to see some of our favorite brand reps that we’ve met at previous shows as well. This is all we were able to buy inbetween a packed day of certification classes!

Excited to head back tomorrow for even more goodies 💚

(Facebook won’t let us tag every business we bought from today but we are still so grateful for all the businesses we trust and love 💚)

🐾 Emerald Paws is off on an educational adventure!

Emerald Paws will be closed for the remainder of this week and will reopen Tuesday, September 15th during our normal business hours.

We’re currently away in Hershey, Pennsylvania attending Groom Expo, the world’s largest grooming convention! Groom Expo brings together an incredible lineup of pet grooming education classes, hands-on learning opportunities and a trade show that could make just about any groomer’s heart skip a beat.

We’re here to learn, grow and bring even more industry-leading knowledge and skills back to Emerald Paws. We’ll also be getting recertified in Pet First Aid & CPR to keep our emergency care knowledge fresh and our safety skills sharp.

And of course, we’re doing a little shopping along the way! Expect to see some fresh scents, adorable accessories and maybe a few fun new things making their way back to the salon.

We can’t wait to bring everything we learn (and find!) home with us. Stay tuned for some behind-the-scenes updates from Groom Expo throughout the week!

🍁 WE’RE DONE WAITING FOR FALL 🍁

We don’t care if it’s still hot outside… we’re officially transitioning into our favorite season here at Emerald Paws! 🎃

Our all time favorite cologne company, Shniff, just released their limited edition Camp Shniff Fall Collection, and of course we had to get our paws on it!

🏕️ Pumpkin S’mores - toasted marshmallow, pumpkin spice, graham cracker & crackling embers.

🔥 Campfire Suede - smoky cherry wood, warm suede, spiced amber & soft musk.

🌲 Lakeside Pine - fresh cedar, fir needle, cool eucalyptus, bright grapefruit & warm amber.

So while your pup is here getting pampered, you’re more than welcome to take a “Shniff” and pick out your favorite!

We do fun funky stuff here at Emerald Paws and the best clients to practice on are our own pets!

After all if it doesn’t turn out how we expected we get to take them home at the end of the day 😂💚

But we think we nailed these fun out of the box designs!

PSA from Christian 🐾

I wanted to take a moment to address something for general knowledge of our current and future clients.

Today, Emerald Paws received a 1-star Google review following our decision to let a client know that we will no longer be able to provide services to them. The review itself is not the issue. The behavior that led to the decision is.

Their dog has been an absolute angel for every visit, and we have always enjoyed caring for them. Unfortunately, during drop-off today, the client’s behavior toward my team included cursing, belittling, and speaking in a condescending manner. That is not something I am willing to accept in my salon.

I also have cameras throughout our lobby and grooming parlor, so when situations like this arise, I am able to review exactly what occurred.

As the owner of Emerald Paws, I want to make this especially clear: I will not tolerate my employees being mistreated by anyone, for any reason. My team works incredibly hard to provide your pets with safe, compassionate, individualized care, and they deserve to be treated with respect while doing so.

That being said, we absolutely welcome feedback. We want our clients to be happy, we want to hear your concerns, and we are always willing to work with you toward achieving the haircut and overall experience you are looking for. Sometimes things don’t come out exactly as expected, and that’s okay. We can talk about it and work toward a solution.

It’s not about what you say, but how you say it.

We are incredibly grateful for the clients who trust us with their pets and who treat our team with the same kindness and respect that we strive to show them every day.

And if you love what Emerald Paws does for your pets, we’d love to hear about it! Leaving us a review on either our page or Google Business Profile is one of the best ways you can support our small business and help other pet parents find us.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support. We appreciate you more than you know. 💚

Give those fur babies some extra love from us, and we hope everyone has a safe and dry weekend! 🐾

🏆✨ THE RESULTS ARE IN… AND EMERALD PAWS IS GOLD! ✨🏆

We are absolutely over the moon to announce that Emerald Paws Pet Grooming Parlor has been voted BEST in the Pet Grooming category in Muncie’s Quest for the Best! 🐾

Winning Gold is something we never could have anticipated when we opened our doors. We simply set out to do what we do best every day, pamper the pets who deserve it most, earn their trust, and create a grooming experience where both pets and their people feel at home.

To our incredible furry clients who allow us to earn their trust with every visit, thank you for letting us be a part of their lives. And to the pet parents who continue to put their confidence in us, recommend us to their friends and family, and support our little grooming parlor. Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.

Your support allows us to continue doing what we love while staying true to the values, atmosphere, and personalized care that you and your pets have come to know and love at Emerald Paws.

We are incredibly proud, incredibly grateful, and more excited than ever to see what the future holds for Emerald Paws and our amazing clients.

Thank you, Muncie. Thank you, Emerald Paws family. And most importantly, thank you to every single set of paws that has trusted us along the way. 🐾💚
