I wanted to take a moment to address something for general knowledge of our current and future clients.
Today, Emerald Paws received a 1-star Google review following our decision to let a client know that we will no longer be able to provide services to them. The review itself is not the issue. The behavior that led to the decision is.
Their dog has been an absolute angel for every visit, and we have always enjoyed caring for them. Unfortunately, during drop-off today, the client’s behavior toward my team included cursing, belittling, and speaking in a condescending manner. That is not something I am willing to accept in my salon.
I also have cameras throughout our lobby and grooming parlor, so when situations like this arise, I am able to review exactly what occurred.
As the owner of Emerald Paws, I want to make this especially clear: I will not tolerate my employees being mistreated by anyone, for any reason. My team works incredibly hard to provide your pets with safe, compassionate, individualized care, and they deserve to be treated with respect while doing so.
That being said, we absolutely welcome feedback. We want our clients to be happy, we want to hear your concerns, and we are always willing to work with you toward achieving the haircut and overall experience you are looking for. Sometimes things don’t come out exactly as expected, and that’s okay. We can talk about it and work toward a solution.
It’s not about what you say, but how you say it.
We are incredibly grateful for the clients who trust us with their pets and who treat our team with the same kindness and respect that we strive to show them every day.
