🐾 IMPORTANT HEALTH UPDATE FOR OUR UPCOMING GUESTS 🐾
We want to proactively keep our PineAcre families informed about a respiratory illness that has recently been reported following our Labor Day weekend boarding stays.
We have received several reports of dogs developing canine cough/upper respiratory symptoms after returning home from their Labor Day stay with us. At this time, we do not have any dogs currently in our care showing active symptoms. However, because respiratory illnesses can be highly contagious and may spread before symptoms become apparent, we want to make our upcoming guests aware of the situation before their scheduled stay.
We are continuing our standard deep cleaning and sanitation procedures throughout the facility and are closely monitoring every dog in our care for any signs of illness.
Symptoms include:
• Persistent or dry/honking cough
• Gagging or retching after coughing
• Sneezing
• Runny nose or nasal discharge
• Watery or goopy eyes
• Decreased appetite
• Lethargy or lower-than-normal energy
• Fever
If your dog develops any respiratory symptoms before their upcoming reservation, please contact us prior to arrival. We ask that symptomatic dogs remain home and away from other dogs until they have recovered and completed an appropriate isolation period, generally at least 14 days and longer if symptoms persist or your veterinarian recommends additional isolation.
We understand that hearing about a respiratory illness can be concerning, and we want to be as transparent as possible with our PineAcre families. We are actively monitoring the situation and taking additional precautions to help protect the health of every dog staying with us. Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and for helping us keep all of our PineAcre pups healthy!
