Today we are celebrating the one and only Dr. Parisa. Our owner, veterinarian extraordinaire, horse lover, and devoted horse & dog mom! 🐴🐶❤️

If you know Dr. P, you know she brings her whole heart to everything she does. She is passionate, determined, compassionate, and always ready to go the extra mile for her patients, her team, and the people and animals she loves.

Her generous spirit and dedication are just a couple of the reasons we’re so lucky to call her our leader. She has created more than a veterinary hospital… she has created a family, and we are so grateful to be part of it!

So today, we hope Dr. P gets plenty of horse time, Floppy & Haven snuggles, laughter, love, and maybe even a little time to relax! She deserves every bit of it 🥰

✨Help us wish our amazing Dr. P the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY in the comments!✨

Our team was invited to Ripley’s Aquarium earlier this week for a continuing education course hosted by the awesome folks at Elanco!

This CE focused on atopic and allergic dermatitis also known as one of the many reasons our 🐩furry friends🐈 can’t stop scratching! The team got to learn about the latest updates in veterinary dermatology, including newer ways to recognize, manage, and treat allergic skin disease and keep our itchy patients more comfortable.

Veterinary medicine is ALWAYS changing, so we love getting the opportunity to learn something new and bring that knowledge right back home to our patients.

And honestly…. if you have to sit through a few hours of CE, doing it surrounded by sharks, stingrays, and penguins isn't a bad way to spend the day! 🐠🦈

A big THANK YOU to Elanco for having us!

Happy Sunday, friends! As our team gears up for a new week, we wanted to share some information about September- Responsible Dog Ownership & Animal Pain Awareness Month!

We believe responsible pet ownership is about more than keeping the food bowl full and the tennis balls flying. It’s about knowing your pet and noticing when something feels a little “off”. Because our pets can’t exactly sit us down and say, “Hey, my hip hurts today,” it is up to us to recognize the signs of pain!

Maybe they’re moving a little slower.
Maybe they don’t want to jump on the couch anymore.
Maybe they’re grumpier than usual.
Maybe they’re limping or having trouble getting up.

Those changes can be their way of telling us something is totally wrong. And that is where your friends at Mullins Vet come in! Our team has a variety of tools to help us find the source of your pet’s discomfort and help them feel their best, including:

•Quality lab work 🧪 to help evaluate your pet’s health and look for underlying problems.

•X-rays 🩻 to help us take a closer look when we suspect an orthopedic or other internal issue.

•Cold laser therapy ❄️ to support healing and help manage pain and inflammation.

•Acupuncture 🪡 as another treatment option for certain painful or chronic conditions.

We are proud to provide these services right here in our little corner of Mullins, SC because your pets aren’t just patients to us. They are part of the family🐾

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. This number includes countless beloved pets who were caught in the tragedy alongside their people.

We also remember the incredible K9s who answered the call in the days that followed. These dogs worked tirelessly alongside their handlers, searching through the devastation, locating survivors, and helping bring comfort to people who lost everything. They did not understand the enormity of what had happened but they knew they had a job to do, and they did it loyalty and courage.

Their legacy lives on in the working K9s we see right here in our very own hometowns. Our local K9 heroes continue to serve, protect, search, and stand beside the people of our communities every day.

From the dogs who stood on the rubble of Ground Zero to the K9s serving our hometown today, we are reminded of something we already know well at Mullins Veterinary Hospital:
~Some of the bravest heroes have four legs!~

🐾🇺🇸Today, we remember the people.
We remember the pets.
We remember the K9s who served
And we honor every working dog who continues to protect and serve!🇺🇸🐾

Your pet: “Excuse me, hooman… does this mean we don’t have to go to work tomorrow?”

Us: “That’s right! The hospital is taking a PAW-se for Labor Day!”
