The Sparkman Animal Clinic team has some exciting news to share…

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Petree to the team!🐾🩺

Dr. Madie Petree attended Oklahoma State University after graduating from Muldrow High School in 2017. She earned a Bachelor of Animal Science in May 2021, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025.

Throughout her childhood, she was surrounded by animals that her mother took in as strays. Those early experiences—and frequent visits to Sparkman Animal Clinic—inspired her to pursue a career where she could care for animals and support the community in the same meaningful way, and she has spent most summers since 2015 working at the clinic as a veterinary assistant, then as a veterinary student.

Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is forming genuine connections not only with animals, but also with their owners and families. She finds it especially rewarding to see them return to the clinic feeling much better than before!

Dr. Petree’s household currently includes her loving husband John and her orange kitty Morris, a previous Wyoming barn cat.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, attending concerts, singing worship songs, writing poetry, and spending time outdoors.

Dr. Petree looks forward to joining the “Sparklers” and giving back to her hometown community!

She will begin seeing patients starting December 14th, 2026!🤍
