FYI
If i haven't gotten back to you it is because im sick, both of my great danes are sick, one really sick and my van is acting up.
So getting the dogs to the vet has been a challenge.
I am a one person operation and can only do so much every day.

Forgot to add Princess yesterday.
She seems shy so I can't tell you much about her yet. Has come out several times, has not stepped up yet. Seems to eat anything, but prefers pellets/seeds.

Birds are all safe, warm and fed
The roads were not plowed this morning, so I walked to the rescue. I got about 10 inches of snow and it is still coming down. Current wind chill -8. I was toasty walking both ways. Only problem was I forgot my shoes to walk around in the rescue, so was walking on seeds, they are almost as bad as legos.

It is cold out, im all set if the power goes out or I get large amounts of snow. If the roads are bad tomorrow, im expecting 10 inches., I will walk the 8 blocks to the rescue. If the birds need extra heat I have lots of these oil filled heaters. Tempature is going down to -14, They are bird safe. Everyone stay safe. My dogs and I are going to watch movies and stay inside.

This is why I always want to check your cage before I let you adopt. If you have the wrong size bar spacing they can squeeze their head thru, get stuck, panic and break their own neck.
These quakers were all fine, and the owner was educated to on how to fix the carrier.
I just don't want to see anyones bird get hurt because of a simple mistake.

So my van is in the shop for an expensive fix.
Let's just say i hate the diesel exhaust filter.
So im forced to sherpa critical supplies to the bird house.
Since Monday I've walking and backpacking stuff to the rescue.
It has been so fun.
Since I need the van for the rescue to haul cages, it needs to be fixed, can't trade it in for something smaller.
Plus the furance had an issue on Monday so it was chilly in here. That luckily was an quick fix.
All they joys of running the rescue.

People asked about my wishlist, I updated the Amazon wishlist.
I realize this is all cleaning products, but that is what I go through a lot, especially the kraft paper.

If you want to give something the birds are going to get directly, I always need;
Banana Chips
Any type of unshelled nuts, mixed or one type of nut.
Pistachios

It is now December 1st, been quite the year.
I am now closed till next year.
This is to avoid people trying to adopt to give the bird as a gift, it has been tried.
Even though I am closed to visitors, the birds still have to eat, cages cleaned, the utilities need to be paid etc. Without any adoptions i usually pay out my pocket any short fall to cover the bills.
This year, with the cost of everything going up money is tighter then I like.
