Did you know today is National Help a Horse Day? This day shines a light on horses who have experienced abuse or neglect—and the second chances they deserve.
Many of our incredible therapy horses were once in those situations. They’ve been rescued, rehabilitated, and are now thriving in their second and sometimes third career in helping children and adults with special needs and mental health challenges.
Right now, 6 of our horses still need sponsors for 2026. As they age and continue their important work, they require extra care to stay healthy and comfortable. Your sponsorship helps provide nutritious food, routine and specialized care, and year-round support. Those needing a sponsor for 2026 include: George, Rusty, Smoke, Sonny, Takoda, and Tucker.

Willow Creek Ranch is a small non-profit organization we often do things a little differently and that’s why today we’re celebrating something uniquely us: WCR Thankful Thursday. If you thought of us on Giving Tuesday, Thank You!

As we recognize this day of thankful giving, we ask for your support for Willow Creek Ranch.
This past year we have had an unusual number of health issues for our hard-working herd of therapy horses. We have 5 horses that have not been sponsored for 2024 and so our costs have been pulled from other program areas. We need your help to cover the increased healthcare costs for our horses. Please consider being a 2024 or 2025 horse sponsor or provide WCR with a monetary gift to support the work of providing services for those with special needs or mental health concerns. We need your help along with our WCR community of friends and supporters.
