It is with a sad heart that I am updating this page that we are shutting the farm down. For nearly 6 years we have had a great time with many students and boarders. You all with your support allowed me to reach many dreams. So many students of all ages became like family to us. You have all followed us along from a young couple buying our first home, to marriage and then becoming parents. I don't regret any amount of work and stress this place has been. Seeing so many kids come and enjoy the farm was what I always dreamed of. I wanted to create a farm that was every child's dream and I feel we succeeded.

Unfortunately as the world changes, we feel the need to make changes for the betterment of our family. Having enough lesson horses to support our program has become too expensive and my personal boys (Mocha and Sawyer) have worked hard for me for over 10 years now. They are tired and ready to retire. I'm tired and ready to focus on my family who has been unfortunately second in most of these years.

I know many have known this was coming, for many others it will be a complete surprise and for that I'm very sorry. We have had many ups and downs regarding this decision, so many backs and forths. We have already said more goodbyes (for now) than I have ever wanted to in my life.

Our beloved farm will be for sale in the coming months. A few of our animals have already been placed with very dear and trusted friends. The rest (most) animals will be staying with us, so no need to worry about them.

Please feel free to reach out on my personal messenger or text if you have a child who would like to come visit one last time in the next week or two.

(I have been promising current students a list of referral places and am still working on that 🙃 )

Love you all,
Claire and Channing (Chuck also, but he knows everyone less 😅)

Hey everyone! I haven't had much extra time to be active here with busy farm life and a crazy toddler. However, wanted to put it out there that we are booked solid for the next couple months 😳 while this should be a good thing, it is also partially sad as we are not able to take new clients at this time.

If you are a current client and don't have a spot, please contact me and we will try to get creative. My goal is that all current students can continue to lesson regularly as possible. Thank you so very much for all your support and patience over the past couple years!

We are also full boarding wise at this time. I will make future announcements if we have any openings in anything. 🙃

Did you know that lessons aren't all about riding? Horses are complex creatures with minds of their own. To be well rounded horsemen/women learning how to communicate on the ground is also essential.

We are trying a new type of event! If interested please let me know and we can invite you to the group. I accidentally set it as private as I organized and didn't know I couldn't change it! Due to my being laid up, we are using this as a mini way to gain a bit of extra income (these animals don't stop costing us money sadly ;) ). If this Sunday doesn't work and there is enough interest, we can plan another day so let me know.

10 Full days since I've been to the barn. 10 DAYS since I pet a horse (longest stretch ever). Today Chuck loaded Channing and me onto a golfcart and we "helped" with the farrier (we actually just watched as Georgia did the work). Then used Charlie as our guinea pig for golfcart lessons while his amazing parents cleaned out our stalls. Was outside from 9 to 2:30 and it felt amazing even if I had to sit still.

It is still difficult to maneuver. I had surgery where they had to go above my knee and run a rod down through my tibia (big bone) placing pins at my ankle. Chuck is great at getting me out of the house, but has to go back to work tomorrow. Hoping each day I can get outside for a bit and start lessons with my kids or parent/kid combinations that can saddle on their own. Hopefully in another week I can schedule in ways that some of the older/more experienced kids can help with the younger/newer. Stay tuned!

The animals knew we needed a little joy around here after the past two days...and we had a baby sheep born earlier than planned, but very healthy 😍😍 Chuck brought if in to visit me since I can't get to the barn. Channing loved the visit from his new fluffy friend.

Right when life on the farm was getting back to normal, I decided to try roller skating for my nieces birthday. It ended very very badly. My ankle gave out and my leg bent breaking in two places. I will be laid up for awhile 😭 but trying to get back to lessons ASAP with help from friends and family.

Students who are able to halter their own horses and lift their own saddles will hopefully not see a long break in services (maybe just this week as I figure out navigating my healing leg). Students who can't do these things, I'm hoping to set-up help so we can keep going also. I may try to adjust days so different levels are on the same days.

I'm very sorry for this and mostly devastated that it affects lessons. So so thankful to my amazing support system for help in the past 12 hours. Luckily was surrounded by friends when it happened.

Pictures of the breaks and of a couple fun moments from Saturday's full day of lessons ❤

Come on spring, you are giving us rain now give us above freezing Temps!

If any lessons for today want to reschedule for early next Saturday message me and I can get a sitter for Channing (schedule is currently set for after Chuck gets home). Otherwise bundle up and be safe on the roads! Had a full day today.

One of the reasons I love our horses is how they know their rider's abilities and adjust to them. If you ask some of our more experienced riders what they like about Dreamer they would tell you she has a lot of s***k and energy. She is constantly testing them, being a typical naughty pony. However, for our Littles, she is the calmest most gentle pony. She takes care of the smallest riders and is as steady as they come.

Here she is allowing Max to practice with the lariat she got for Christmas. She stood so still even as the rope may have hit her a few times on accident. She was able to understand the situation and that she wasn't being asked to move.

Disclaimer: I don't teach roping lessons. I understand the concept just enough to help a 5 year old have some fun. I think she does about as well as I do or better 🤣

Let's fill the schedule! I am back and ready to teach. Also am currently taking new students. I will reach out if we had talked in the past. If you don't hear from me, feel free to reach out yourselves (or sign-up).

Here's a few pictures of our sweet newest addition enjoying farm life 😍 He was born on Christmas Day and is absolutely perfect in our eyes. Due to still figuring out this whole parenting deal and schedules, I may need to alter the schedule a bit some times in the coming months. Also, if you want to set up weekly or bi-weekly lessons at the same time/days let me know! (Unless you can figure it out on the link, then just go ahead).

Past and future students PLEASE READ
Unfortunately due to the rising costs for running a farm and supporting the horses we are having to raise our prices. Lessons will now be $35 for private, $55 for two, or $70 for 3. If you have already prepayed for packages, there will be no changes! I hate to raise anything as I don't want to be too expensive for anyone to come and enjoy the horses during these stressful times. If this will cause struggles please contact me about different options (combining kids into groups, coming during a time I have to have the baby with me, or working off parts of lessons plus more may be options). We have to both support the farm while also wanting to be a giving service to the community.

Can't wait to see everyone this spring!

Lessons are starting to wrap up as we prepare for the arrival of baby Channing. Was a great weekend with who fit in before the weather turned bad. A couple more lessons are sprinkled throughout the next week or two weather and baby permitting.

This is an exciting time for us, but I will miss all the smiling faces! Good news is though, it is only going to be a couple months in the coldest part of the year!!

The scheduling app is set-up for 2022 scheduling permitting everything goes well and as planned with Channings delivery. Start getting your spots now as you know it books up quickly!

I will be accepting new students starting the first week of March. Please reach out if you plan to schedule so I can know who the new names are. :) Times are a bit crazy right now though, so please be patient if it takes me a bit to respond.

Use https://double-c-stables.square.site/ for scheduling.
