This might just be the sweetest thing we saw all weekend. ❤️🐾

Meet Waylon — FOUR years old — running his dog, NYX, in the Started Hunting Retriever test!

Now, NYX is no rookie. She already has her Seasoned title, but one of the wonderful things about the hunt test program is that it gives our youth handlers the opportunity to run an experienced dog at the Started level while they begin learning how to handle for themselves.

And that’s exactly what Waylon did this weekend. At just four years old, he stepped up to the line with NYX and started learning a sport that we hope he’ll love for many years to come.

There’s just something pretty special about seeing the next generation of handlers out there with a retriever by their side. ❤️

Way to go, Waylon & NYX! 🦆🐾
Four years old and already at the line — it doesn’t get much sweeter than that! 🥹

Great weekend at the Eastern Carolina HRC Hunt Test! 🦆

A huge thank you to all the judges, club members, bird techs, and volunteers who put in the time and work to make this event possible. We truly appreciate everything that goes on behind the scenes to give us the opportunity to run these dogs.

Shelby had a milestone weekend, finishing her HRCH title and punching her ticket to the HRC Grand! We’re incredibly proud of this girl and excited to see where the journey takes her next.

Tanzi made her hunt test debut in Started with Jess Hall at the line. It was the first hunt test for both Tanzi and Jess, and they made a great team, going 2-for-2 with Started passes over the weekend. It was pretty special watching those two work together.

Fender also stepped to the line for his first hunt test weekend and went 2-for-2 in Started, putting together a really nice weekend for the young dog.

Lots of early mornings, training days, muddy boots, miles on the road, and lessons learned along the way. We’re proud of these dogs, proud of their progress, and thankful for the journey.

On to the next one! 🦆🐾

❤️ THIS is what it was all about. ❤️

I received this sweet message from Hanna-Lee after letting her know that our $1,000 Great Wolf Lodge getaway was officially funded and purchased for their family. 🥹

“What a sweet and special surprise! Thank you so, so very much for this! We can’t wait to take our girls and make all the memories! Thank you for the love & support.”

To every single person who donated, shared our posts, or helped us reach our goal — YOU made this happen. ❤️

This beautiful little girl and her family are going to get some time away to simply have fun, laugh, and make memories together.

Thank you for helping us turn a little idea into something very special. This is what community looks like. ❤️🐺

We can’t wait to hear all about their adventure! 🥰

🃏 WILD CARD: MEET UNO! 1️⃣

🐾CONGRATS LAWSON FAMILY 🐾

Two weeks ago, Maple × Gibson decided to throw us a little plot twist… instead of a litter, they gave us ONE. 😂💙

So naturally, there was only one name for him…

UNO! 1️⃣

Our handsome singleton boy is officially 2 weeks old, his little eyes are opening, and he is starting to discover there’s a whole world outside of his private, all-you-can-eat milk bar. 😂

Being the only puppy certainly has its perks — Mama Maple all to himself, no competition at the dinner table, and an entire Rose Breyer crew wrapped around one tiny paw. 🐾

He may be a litter of ONE, but this little guy has enough personality to fill a whole whelping box. And judging by these pictures, I think he already knows he’s kind of a big deal. ❤️

We can’t wait to watch this special boy grow!

Well… apparently Maple misunderstood the assignment. 🤪😂

After weeks of watching that belly grow, guessing 5… maybe 6 puppies, and getting the whelping box ready for a whole crew…

Maple said, “Best I can do is ONE.” 💙🐾

Introducing the one, the only, the entire Maple × Gibson litter of 2026. 😂

This little guy had the whole womb to himself — all the room, all the groceries, and absolutely ZERO sibling competition. 👑

He may be a litter of one, but something tells us he’s going to have enough personality for six.

Our very special party of one has arrived. 💙

🤫 We’ve been keeping a little secret… 🤫

SURPRISE! 🐾💕 Maple & Gibson are expecting!

We’ve kept this one pretty quiet, but judging by that belly, the secret is getting a little hard to hide. 😂

Our sweet Maple is officially on puppy watch and due ANYTIME! The whelping box is ready, supplies are stocked, and now we wait for her to decide when it’s time to meet these babies. 🥰

Of course, we have to make it interesting…

🐾 How many puppies do you think Maple is hiding in there?!

Drop your guess below! 👇🏼

Stay tuned… we could have some exciting news VERY soon! ❤️🐾
