Dog Food Please!
Our small community pantry is out of LARGE bags of dry dog food.
If you can, please pick up a bag or two of ANY BRAND dog food next time you are at Walmart and donate it to the community pantry. This food goes to the people in our county that cannot afford to feed their pets.
**Together we can make sure no dogs go hungry!**

Happy Tails...
Lefty craves affection and accepts it, but will be very timid with you at first. He is getting more confident each day and does great with the people that take the time to get to know him. He loves to go on walks with the volunteers that he was once afraid of. He is a calm and gentle soul with lots of love to give. Lefty will be a wonderful dog for any patient person willing to work with him. He is 2 1/2 years old and weighs 55lbs. Contact us to day to come meet Lefty 870-269-5200.

This girl LOVES to practice her hand signals. She won't even eat her dinner until you at least make her sit. She also loves people and other animals. Such positive and fun energy with this one. You will be lucky if you are the one who gets to adopt her!

There are those who’ll say that Missy is limited. Missy is the pretty girl with the huge smile; the girl who sees rainbows but not clouds and loves without question or hesitation. They say she’s limited because she’s deaf. But their opinion is not hers. Missy is an expert at hand signals. She understands what you’re telling her. She doesn’t have to hear the words. She can see them. This is Missy’s second time with us. She came back after her owners could no longer care for their 50+ animals. She’s had a refresher course, and she’s ready to try again. Missy is a bully breed mix, 6 years old and 55 pounds of pure love, devotion and positivity. She needs a soft landing spot with someone who’ll celebrate who she is, what she knows, and everything she can do. Because for all the things Missy is, limited is not one of them.

Spay/Neuter Clinic Announcement:
Due to the amount of no-show’s and last-minute cancellations at our Spay/Neuter Clinics:

The Stone County Humane Society now requires a $20 deposit for our Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics both at Dr. Nixon's and at the Shelter location.

The deposit is due within 7 days of scheduling the appointment.

Deposits can be dropped off at the YELLOW MAILBOX just outside the SHELTER CLINIC DOOR located at 17379 Hwy 9 Mtn View, AR
OR made over the phone with a debit/credit card when making the appointment.

To make an appt call 870-269-6142 and leave a message.

Deposits are non-refundable.

If cancelling 5 or more days before the scheduled appointment, deposits can be transferred to a future date one time, otherwise the deposit is forfeited.

Thank you for your understanding and please spay and neuter (not only your own pets, but the strays in your area as well)!

Is this your dog?
Male dog just showed up on 14 East and Brandon Rd, 7 miles east of town. He had a long lead attached to him. He is very friendly and appears well cared for. Please call Allen Bitting at 954-849-2595 or SCHS at 870-269-5200 to claim.

The numbers are in!
HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who created and donated delicious baked goods for our Best Ever Bake Sale earlier this month. With your help, we raised $1,300 for the shelter 🙌
