If anyone is needing/wanting some kennels I have several I’m going to sell. My small couch, coffee table, and rug (not the cow hide) are all for sell as well.

As most of my pet parents know, I’ve been dealing with a pretty good amount of shoulder pain since February, I took a few weeks off and returned to work, still hurting but manageable while still trying my best to continue to groom.
Last week, while lifting a mid-sized dog, I felt-heard a pop and immediately knew I had messed something up.
After my scans this morning, I found out that I do have a small tear in my rotator cuff, I’m unsure of if this is from earlier in the year, or from last week, all I know is that its there.

In order to avoid causing more damage and to hopefully prevent a more serious injury later on, I have decided to step away from dog grooming and allow my body to heal.

This is not a decision I make lightly, and it absolutely breaks my heart to say goodbye to all of my pet parents and pups.

To every single one of who has trusted me with your dogs, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support, kindness, loyalty, and love over the past few years has meant more to me than you will ever know.
You have become such a huge part of not only my life, but my kids lives as well, I have gotten to know and love so many of you and we will miss you all so very much.
I am so sorry to throw this on everyone, I never want to let any of you down and I genuinely apologize for quitting so suddenly. I’m still trying my best to reach out to everyone directly, I’ve hardly even made a dent in the client list, just know how much you mean to me❤️

To the dogs, you hold a piece of my heart, you were mine for a few hours every couple of weeks, I’ll cherish every moment with you.
You brought me so much joy, you allowed me to laugh, cry, talk, joke, & sing all with very little judgment.
You made me love this job.
I looked forward to all of the licks, jumps, tail wags and yes even the barks.
The silly, sweet, & sassy personality’s make me want to come back to work day after day. You made this job easy (even on the hard days) & I will love all of you forever.

I will be fitting in only the tiniest/smallest pups tomorrow and Monday as I safely can, and after that Mountain Dog Grooming will officially be closed.

Thank you all for supporting my little business, for loving my family through the past few years, and trusting me with your precious dogs. I will carry every memory with me forever. ❤️

With all of the love in my heart~ Lillie

Long post ahead, I want to be open with you all for a moment.

The past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with a pretty painful shoulder. I’ve honestly been running on autopilot just trying to get through each day and make sure everyone (and every pup) is taken care of.

Appointments are still taking longer than usual, some days are better than others, but more days than not I’ve been pretty behind on time and very overwhelmed.

Because of that, I am also very far behind on messages and calls, (worse than usual) and I truly appreciate your patience while I catch up, And honestly I don’t even know where to put dogs at the moment.

Right now, I’m focusing on not hurting myself worse and healing as much as possible. With that being said, I’ve had to make some difficult decisions. For the time being, I will be cutting back on some of my larger dogs—especially those that require a lot of lifting or extra physical handling.

Unless contacted before hand, If you have an appointment scheduled, you’re still good to go. After that visit, I may reassess based on what i can handle.

There are so many amazing large dogs I absolutely love working with, and this is not a decision I’ve taken lightly. I never want to get to a point where I can’t give your dogs the quality care they deserve or where I stop enjoying what I do.

If I seem a little off or weirder than usual, please know it’s not you or your dog—I’m just doing my best to get through each day.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, patience, and support. It truly means more than you know.
