Did you know the Australian Shepherd isn’t actually from Australia at all? 🇺🇸🐾

Despite its name, the breed was developed in the United States in the 1800s, where ranchers needed a smart, agile, and tireless herding dog. The “Australian” part of the name likely came from Basque shepherds who arrived from Australia with their working dogs, which helped shape the breed. 🐑💨

Aussies became famous for their unmatched herding ability, boundless energy, and keen intelligence—earning a place as indispensable partners on farms and ranches. Recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1993, they’ve also shined in dog sports, search-and-rescue, and therapy work, proving their versatility far beyond the pasture.

My last two beautiful kids looking for homes. They are full siblings.
2 year old female. I kept to breed.
And her 18 month old brother.
The female is house trained crate trained excellent with all my animals. Dogs cats horses goats.
She isn't a fan of young kids or men until she knows them.
The boy is crate trained..such a happy high energy boy.
Both AKC
Both current on vaccines and flea and tick treatment and heartworm.
Limited or unlimited papers.
Located in SW Missouri.
