Likewise, pets are often placed in a small kennel run or in a cage all day. ❤️🐾 BARNEY UPDATE! 🐾❤️

We got some AMAZING news from Barney’s neurologist today! 😍❤️

He is doing GREAT! He’s walking very well, getting stronger and stronger, and he no longer needs help walking! 🥹🐾❤️

He still has to take it easy for another two weeks and remain under restrictions in his enclosure. NO running and NO jumping on or off furniture right now. And honestly, we’ll probably make the no-jumping rule permanent just to protect his back and keep him safe. 🙏❤️

But seeing how far he has come is absolutely incredible. After the nightmare of his surgery and the fear and worry we’ve had these past weeks, hearing his neurologist say that he’s doing extremely well is the best news we could have gotten. 😭❤️

We know we still have a ways to go, but today we are celebrating this HUGE step forward! 🎉🐾

Thank you so much to all of you who have checked on him, prayed for him, sent love, and rooted for our sweet boy. Your support has meant more than you know. ❤️🙏🤗❤️❤️❤️

Keep getting stronger, our sweet boy, Barney! We love you more than words can say. ❤️🐾😘

Those of you that come to the shop, know our sweet boy, Barney.🐾❤️

Over the weekend, our poor boy lost the ability to move his back legs and was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). He was taken to the Veterinary Referral Center in Malvern, where an MRI showed severe compression on his spinal cord, caused by herniated discs (t12 & t13).

He underwent surgery, and we are so happy and relieved to share that he is doing amazingly well! It feels like a true miracle! He is already walking on his own, peeing independently, and is way ahead of schedule in his recovery. 🙏🥹🐶✨

Barney is back home now, but he will need four weeks of strict rest and quiet healing time to fully recover. Thank you all so much for your love, support, prayers and warm thoughts during this extremely stressful time. Barney is one strong boy, and we are so grateful to have him back home! 🙏❤️🐾
