Today, I’m announcing Aimee’s Law—legislation that will create a public registry of individuals convicted of felony animal abuse. This bill comes after the heartbreaking loss of a six-month-old Siberian husky in Erie, who was abandoned in freezing temperatures.

Aimee’s Law will protect animals and communities, deter repeat offenders, and hold those who commit egregious acts accountable.

According to PA laws, every pet owner must license their dog—you can purchase an annual license by submitting a completed application to your local county treasurer or issuing agent. If you don’t license your dog, you could be cited with a $500 fine, per violation, plus court costs.
