My name is Poncho. I’m about 10 years old, and I weigh just 7 pounds.

I’m small enough to fit in your arms… but somehow, I ended up all alone.

I was found as a stray.

Nobody knows how long I had been wandering. Nobody knows where my family is or why no one came looking for me. I only know that I’m an older little Chihuahua who should have been spending his golden years curled up beside someone who loves him — not trying to survive without a home.

And now I’m waiting.

Waiting for someone to see me.

Waiting for someone to choose me.

Waiting for someone to say the words I desperately need to hear:

“Poncho, you’re safe now. You’re home.”

💔 I know I’m not a puppy.
💔 I know there are younger dogs waiting, too.
💔 I know a little gray face like mine might be easy to overlook.

But please… look at me.

I still have so much love left to give.

I don’t need a mansion. I don’t need fancy toys. I don’t need endless adventures.

I just need a warm bed.

A quiet place.

A gentle hand.

And someone who will love me for whatever time I have left.

Ten years is a lifetime for a little dog like me. I shouldn’t have to spend the rest of mine wondering why nobody wanted me.

Maybe my family is still out there.

Maybe they aren’t.

But I’m still here.

And I’m still hoping.

“That’s my boy. I’ve been looking for you.”

I don’t need everyone.

I just need one person.
