Here's the stray from the movie theater that needed help. Picture of this⦠Holiday weekend stray dog laying in the parking lot authorities called to help no room in the end. A good citizen post on Facebook to help this. Dog and I get a call. I don't have a Shelter and I don't have any room at my house with my nine dogs and fosters. Didn't know what to do except for at least go and put flea and tick meds on him and give him food until we got a plan. In walks to perfect strangers to help save the day. Rodney and Ashley step up to the plate and go get him by the time I show up with flea and chicks. They keep him with several days to get him settled in. Today was his big day at All Creatures Lakeside Vet veterinary Hospital part two income, Dr. Rosie and her amazing staff to help get our boy all set up Vaccine, f***l test, exam, parasite, medication, and heartworm test results drumroll please⦠He's loaded with hookworms, hundreds of scabs from all the fleas and ticks, and the unfortunate part of it all he's heartworm positive even though he's only a year and a half old . Plan B treat this sweet boy and hope that all of you who wanted us to help can now do your part....share this post, make a donation for his care, and be thankful that people like Ashley and Rodney were willing to adopt him. His medical bills will be around $1,000 for his vetting and heartworm treatment. To be successful as a rescue it just can't be me. I'm a one woman show and I can't do fundraising, saving dogs, finding rescues out of state to help us rehome dogs, foster dogs, clean pens and vans with each transport, drive transport and get dogs to vet appointments and spay and neuters AND pay all these bills with my rescues dollars. I NEED you to help in anyway you can. I get that you all can't foster, and be the boots on the ground like I do. (I'm retired ha) but you can do something. I hear all the time how angry you guys get when Animal Control and shelters can't help. But we are drowning in animals and we can't do it alone. Pay the extra $15 a year when you pay your taxes to help fund animal control, get your pets spayed and neutered and DON'T support backyard breeders. Please do be the person that types Somebody do something! You need to do something too! Please go walk dogs at your local shelters! They need volunteers badly. Work the spay and neuter clinics. Offer to shelter pets when we need you. Please! These animals did not ask to be dumped, born unwanted, and cast off like trash. Ok, maybe I'm tired, crabby, or maybe I'm just drowning along side my fellow rescuers. Regardless, please look for ways to help. And to all of you that do like the Rodney and Ashley's that step up to the plate THANK YOU!
