We've been keeping a little secret here at **DogMom Grooming LLC**, and we're FINALLY ready to spill the puppy shampoo! 🫧🐶💗

Our little Mom & Pop Pet Spaw is GROWING!!! Well... sort of! 😉 We're making room in our grooming family by welcoming another talented groomer who will be **renting her very own grooming station** right here at DogMom Grooming!

Now, some of you longtime Mountain Home residents might recognize that name! 👀💕

Michelle was previously the proud owner of **Wggs Grooming right here in Mountain Home!** Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, she had to make the difficult decision to sell her business and step away from the grooming industry.

But here's where her story gets BEAUTIFUL. 🥹💗

After several years of focusing on her health, healing, and getting herself back to feeling better than ever, **SHE'S READY TO PICK UP THOSE CLIPPERS AGAIN!!!** ✂️🐩

And we couldn't be more excited that she's chosen our little grooming shop to begin this next chapter! 🥰

She's easing herself back into the wonderful, hairy, sometimes chaotic world of dog grooming, one precious pup at a time! 🐾😂

📅 **Official Start Date:** November 3, 2026

🐶 **Accepting:** Dogs under 40 pounds

🕘 **Available:** Tuesdays & Fridays, 9 AM – 3 PM

📲 **Booking:** Message Michelle directly through Facebook Messenger! Online booking through Square will be available once she gets everything set up.

💳 **Booking Requirement:** A card must be kept on file for cancellation fees.

📍 **Location:** Inside DogMom Grooming LLC in Mountain Home, Idaho!

💕 **A LITTLE SOMETHING IMPORTANT!** 💕

Michelle will be operating **Grooming by Michelle as her own independent business**, simply renting a station inside our shop! She'll be handling her own appointments, clients, policies, and scheduling.

So if you're looking to book with Michelle, please reach out to her directly! 🥰

And don't worry, our beloved DogMom Grooming fur-family! 🐶💗 We're still here doing what we do best, loving on your babies, making them smell fabulous, and occasionally wearing more dog hair than actual clothing! 🤣🐾

TO THE ANONYMOUS PETPARENT WHO LEFT A LITTLE NOTE ON MY BUG TODAY

🐾💕 This one is for you 💕🐾

Okay, ya'll… something happened today that I honestly don't know whether to laugh, cry, or just give a complete stranger the biggest hug ever. 🥹😂❤️

When I got off work today, I found a tiny folded-up note tucked onto my Volkswagen Bug. I almost didn't even see it!

It was from an anonymous grooming client.

The note started off with some of the SWEETEST compliments about my grooming, how wonderful their dog looked and smelled, and how they could see the love and kindness I try to put into the world. 🥹💗

But then it took a turn I was NOT expecting. 😳

Apparently, when this person picked up their dog, they noticed that I had clearly been crying. My eyes were red, my makeup was streaked, and my husband, Jeff, didn't exactly look happy.

They were concerned that maybe something was happening behind closed doors, that I wasn't being treated right, and that I deserved someone who would never make me cry.

They even left me a phone number for what I believe was a domestic abuse hotline. 🥹❤️

FIRST OF ALL… JEFF. 🤣😂🤣

My poor husband has what he HIMSELF calls a "resting bitch face." 🤣🤣 And let me tell you, when that man is deep in thought, sad, or stressed, his face can look like he's plotting the downfall of an entire civilization. 😂💀

But I promise you, this man is my safe place. ❤️

And what this sweet person witnessed today was actually something completely different.

This morning, between grooming appointments, I received a phone call that absolutely shattered my heart. 💔

One of our longtime fur-clients had passed away peacefully in their sleep overnight. Their family had just discovered what happened, and I was one of the very first people they called.

I stood there with another dog on my grooming table, trying SO HARD to hold myself together while listening to this heartbroken owner. I wanted to be strong for them. I wanted to give them the space to cry, talk, and share their heartbreak.

Jeff was standing there listening, too.

And when that phone call ended?

I completely fell apart. 😭💔

I scooped up the sweet dog I had been grooming, held her against me, and just sobbed.

And Jeff?

That supposedly scary-looking man wrapped his arms around BOTH of us.

And he cried, too. ❤️

You see, this wasn't just another dog on our schedule.

This was a baby we had loved and cared for every three weeks for YEARS.

Three weeks, a bath. Three weeks later, a haircut. Then another bath. Then another haircut.

For three years, I had the privilege of loving on this dog. And Jeff had spent just over two years building his own special bond.

That is a LOT of kisses, cuddles, conversations, silly moments, and memories. 🐾❤️

Something people don't always realize about being a dog groomer is that we fall in love with your babies, too.

We watch them grow. We learn their personalities, their little quirks, their favorite scratches, and exactly how they like to be loved.

They become part of our lives.

And when they cross that rainbow bridge, a little piece of our hearts goes with them. 🌈🐾💔

So yes, today I had been crying. A LOT.

And yes, Jeff looked upset.

Because we were both grieving a little soul who meant the world to us.

Now, to the beautiful human who left that note… 💗

I don't know who you are, and I'm not trying to figure it out.

But I want to THANK YOU.

Not just for your kind words about my grooming, but for caring enough about another human being to do something.

You saw something that concerned you. You didn't know the whole story. You didn't want to embarrass me or put me on the spot. So you quietly left a message of love, encouragement, and a resource that could have genuinely helped someone in a dangerous situation.

And THAT, my friend, is something incredibly special. 🥹❤️

Please don't feel embarrassed if you happen to read this.

You didn't do anything wrong.

You acted out of kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for another woman.

And while you happened to misunderstand this particular situation, there may come a day when a note just like yours reaches someone who desperately needs it.

PLEASE never lose that part of yourself. ❤️

We need MORE people in this world who are willing to notice, care, and look out for one another.

As for Jeff… well… 🤣

I guess we might need to work on that resting bitch face, babe. 😂😂😂

But seriously, thank you, sweet stranger. You reminded me that even on a day filled with heartbreak, there are still beautiful people quietly spreading love in this world.

And to our precious fur-client who gained their angel wings last night…

Thank you for three beautiful years of trusting us, loving us, and letting us love you right back. Your little paw prints will forever be on both of our hearts. 🌈🐾❤️

Just a little scheduling update from DogMom Grooming! 🐾💕

We’ll be closed our normal Wednesday and Thursday, but we’ll also be closed Friday and Saturday while I have a dental procedure done and recover with plenty of ice packs and puppy snuggles! 🦷😂💗

We’ll reopen on Sunday, September 20th, ready to pamper all your precious furbabies! ✂️🐶✨

🍂✨ LITTLE COZY MARKET UPDATE! ✨🍂

EEEEEK!! We have officially submitted our Special Event Application to the City of Mountain Home for The Little Cozy Market — and the city has confirmed they received it! 🥹🧡🍁

When I spoke with the wonderful lady at the City, she said she doesn’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be approved, so while we’re still waiting for that final official YES… things are looking VERY promising! 🙌✨

What started as a little idea in my head is actually becoming a REAL THING, and I am ridiculously excited. 😭🍂

At DogMom Grooming, we typically book 8–10 weeks in advance, so the best way to make sure your pup stays on a consistent grooming schedule is to reserve your next appointment before you check out. ❤️

At this time, we are only accepting clients who are already on a regular grooming schedule. This allows us to continue providing the one on one care and personalized service that our amazing clients have come to expect while we search for the perfect experienced groomer to join our team.
