PSA for anyone that feeds Whole Hearted dogfood from Petco im not sure when they started putting it in but they now add yeast to it. For the last couple years that what we have fed and id say within the last 8 months or so we've been having issues with paw licking like never before. I chalked it up to outside allergies but again we weren't having an issue. Sassy never had any issues with paw licking and all of a sudden she has lick stains on her feet. I recently saw a video saying that every Whole Hearted bag of food no matter what the flavor they all had yeast. I was for sure that that was incorrect. So I went online and looked at the ingredients and then I went to petco and looked to verify for sure. Sure enough, yeast. Well I dont want to give my allergy prone dogs yeast on purpose. I guess that explains the paw licking.
Ive tried hard to find a quality food that all 4 can eat. That is not an easy task. Absolutely no poultry, no pork, no salmon (did you know they have to give the farm raised salmon some kind of yeast to make them pink?) And no coconut cause for some odd reason Sassy has issues with it.

Acana limited lamb and apple.
Both of these seem to be a really good option. Based on what AI has told me and I did a "grade my kibble" these 2 got an A. Good ingredients, no yeast, low carbs. Carbs are sugar which feeds yeast and cancer.
