RunAmok Acres grew by 3 today. The Beagles and Archie are absolutely smitten by the tiny one!

Without further ado, let me introduce Gibbs (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) - white Mammoth Donkey gelding

Ruthie (Ruth)- Standard Jenny

And little miss Ellie (Eleanor)- 5 day old standard sorrel Jenny foal.

Momma Ruthie is the sweetest Jenny I have ever met. Both Gibbs and her have settled right in as soon as they stepped off of the trailer. Archie is glad to finally have some pasture mates. Tracker and Charlie have been rotating each other in babysitting duties.

Gibbs needs some groceries but he has settled right in as pasture sentinel.

RunAmok Acres - How incredibly fitting is this brand?

When Sarah came to me, she had a brand that already looked awfully close to this one - It was just missing the spark that truly made it "hers". We really just cleaned up the "RA" to look a little more like ... the zoomies? ... and plopped an arrow in that represented her horse "Archie" - an nod to "Follow Your Arrow".

You don't have to book me for a complete overhaul. It doesn't step on my toes if you'd like to stay closer to the original idea that feels good, but not quite "right". I'll help you getter there - no matter how big or small my job.

Although I an intentionally limiting orders throughout the rest of the year, I still have a few openings left for this month and would love to work with everyone who would like a "jump" on the Christmas season. (Seriously - If you're trying to gift branded goodies this year, you need to get that new brand ASAP!)

You don’t need the perfect horse. You need the horse that helps you become the horseman you’re capable of being.

Rarely do we get the horse we want but more often, we get the horse we need. The one who exposes our impatience, our uncertainty, our inconsistency, our ego. The one who refuses to let us remain who we are.

That isn’t bad luck.

The horse isn’t standing in the way of your journey. The horse is the journey.

They teach us to slow down when we want to rush. To observe before we act. To replace force with feel, certainty with curiosity, and pride with humility.

And the qualities they awakened in us don’t stop with horses. Patience becomes how we parent, presence becomes how we lead, clarity becomes how we communicate and compassion becomes how we move through the world.

Maybe the greatest gift a horse gives us isn’t better horsemanship. It’s becoming a better human.

Happy Mothers Day to my fellow dog moms!

To the women who built their lives around walks, routines, medicine times, muddy paws, bedtime cuddles, and a life of picking dog hair out of their mouth while having a conversation.
The ones who loved with their whole hearts and were loved just as deeply in return.

Being a dog mum is still motherhood.
It is nurturing, protecting, sacrificing, comforting, worrying, and loving someone more than yourself.
