East Bullitt Animal Clinic Dr. Stephanie Pollett graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She graduated from Bullitt East High School in 1993.

She started working in veterinary clinics in 1992. Our philosophy at East Bullitt Animal Clinic is to provide the kind of care we would want for our own pets! We have state-of-the-art blood machines and an excellent reference lab with competitive pricing. We have a digital xray machine which provides the best quality xrays available. We provide excellent dental services, including dental xrays on

every patient to detect diseased teeth under the gumline. We want to address any problems as soon as possible to decrease oral pain and help our pets live a long, healthy life. We offer many surgical procedures. We have excellent equipment to increase safety during surgical procedures. We want only the best for our pets, and for yours! We understand how expensive health care can be for pets. We accept checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover card, Care Credit and Scratch Pay to help make good quality care more affordable. We also accept pet health insurance! We will take care of your fur-babies as we would our own!

Veterinary Staff Need Vacations Too! 🌴☀️

Fun fact: Your veterinary team is made up of humans, too! 😴😂

We love your pets. We worry about them, celebrate their victories, comfort them when they’re scared, and sometimes even think about them after we’ve gone home. ❤️🐶🐱

But just like everyone else, veterinary staff need time to rest, recharge, spend time with family, and make memories outside of the clinic.

Taking a vacation doesn’t mean we care any less—it helps us come back refreshed, focused, and ready to give your pets the very best care possible. 🩺🐾

We’re not robots. We’re people who love animals—and sometimes we need a beach day, too! 🏖️😂

🐾☀️ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ☀️🐾

Did you know your pet can get sunburned too?! 😳🐶🐱

Just like us, pets can be affected by UV rays—especially pets with light-colored fur, thin coats, or exposed skin on areas like the nose, ears, and belly.

And here’s something else to remember during these hot August days: fur doesn’t make your pet immune to the heat! Pets can still overheat, particularly senior pets, overweight pets, and flat-faced breeds.

☀️ Keep those outdoor adventures shorter during the hottest part of the day, provide plenty of fresh water, and always make sure your pet has access to shade.

Because summer should be about wagging tails, cool paws, and making memories—not heat emergencies! ❤️🐾

📚🐾 Fun Fact Friday – Back-to-School Edition! 🍎

As the kids head back to school, don’t forget that our pets notice the change in routine, too!

🐶 Did you know? Dogs and cats can experience stress or anxiety when the household schedule suddenly changes. A quieter home, different feeding times, or less playtime can leave some pets feeling confused.

Here are a few ways to help them adjust:
🐾 Keep feeding and potty schedules as consistent as possible.
🐾 Spend a few minutes each day playing or going for a walk.
🐾 Leave a favorite toy or puzzle feeder to keep them occupied while everyone’s away.
🐾 Give them extra love and reassurance as they settle into the new routine.

A little consistency goes a long way in helping your furry family members feel safe and secure.
