🐾🇺🇸 FUN FACT FRIDAY — September 11

Did you know that search-and-rescue dogs were among the heroes who worked tirelessly at Ground Zero following 9/11? 🐕‍🦺❤️

These specially trained dogs searched through enormous amounts of debris, often working for hours alongside their handlers to locate survivors and bring comfort to those at the site.

🐾 Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the four-legged heroes who served beside them.

Never forgotten. 🇺🇸🕊️

🐾 FUN FACT FRIDAY: LABOR DAY EDITION! 🐾🇺🇸

Did you know veterinary medicine is one of the few professions where every day can look completely different? From wellness exams and vaccinations to surgery, dentistry, emergencies, and everything in between—our veterinary teams wear A LOT of hats! 👩‍⚕️🐶🐱

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the hardworking people behind the scenes who keep tails wagging, purrs going, and pets healthy. ❤️

But here’s something pet parents should remember:
🐾 Your pet’s health isn’t just about what happens when they’re sick. Preventive care and early detection can make a HUGE difference.

Regular wellness exams, keeping vaccines current, parasite prevention, maintaining a healthy weight, and paying attention to changes in your pet’s behavior can help catch problems before they become bigger—and often more expensive—problems.

So while you’re enjoying your Labor Day weekend, give yourself a little credit too! Being a responsible pet owner is hard work—and your pets are healthier because of you. ❤️🐾

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from your friends at East Bullitt Animal Clinic!

We work hard for your pets. You help us by taking care of them every day. Together, we keep them happy, healthy, and by your side longer. 🐶🐱❤️

🍉☀️ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ☀️🍓

Summer means cookouts, picnics, and lots of delicious treats—but not everything on your plate is safe for your four-legged family members! 🐶🐱

Did you know that watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, and cantaloupe can be tasty, pet-friendly summer treats when given in moderation? 🍉🫐🍓

But beware of some common summer foods! 🚨
❌ Grapes & raisins
❌ Onions & garlic
❌ Chocolate
❌ Xylitol (found in some sugar-free foods)
❌ Alcohol
❌ Corn cobs & peach pits, which can cause dangerous intestinal blockages

🐾 Remember: When in doubt, keep it out! And always introduce new foods in small amounts.
