Happy National Rescue Dog Day 🤍
Today we’re celebrating a very special rescue puppy: Louise 🐾
Louise had her ophthalmology consultation yesterday, and while we finally have more answers, we also have some difficult decisions ahead. It’s likely she suffered an infection at a very young age that caused damage to her cornea and left the eye non-functional. As she gets older, her eye will likely need to be removed.
Thankfully, sweet Louise is completely unbothered. She’s still playful, happy, eating well, and romping around like she owns the place 🤍
As Louise & her sister continue their foster journey, we are fundraising to help cover:
• Louise’s ongoing eye care
• Upcoming spay appointments for both Louise & Thelma
• Food, supplies, and foster care needs
We’re continuing our latest fundraiser with a goal of $5,000, and thanks to this amazing community, we’re already a little over 30% there 🎉
If you’d like to celebrate National Rescue Dog Day with us, donations, shares, and words of support mean the world.
