The best training moments are when trust is built and understanding flows both ways.
A trainer doesn’t just guide a dog—they nurture, adapt, and connect with each dog’s unique spirit.
It’s through this partnership that true progress is made.
To all the trainers who pour their heart into shaping strong, confident dogs, we see you!🙌

Max is getting his steps in! 🐾💪

A little treadmill time for this guy at Rocket Dog Academy!

Daily exercise is about more than burning off energy. It helps dogs stay physically fit, supports their mental well-being, and gives them a healthy outlet for all that get-up-and-go! The right amount looks different for every dog, depending on their age, health, and fitness.

The goal isn’t an exhausted dog. It’s a routine that meets their needs. Time to move, time to learn, and time to rest. 💙

Need a hand adding training and activity to your dog’s week? Message us about Fido Fit Day Training at Rocket Dog Academy!

Your puppy knows some things… until another dog shows up. 🐶👀

Sound familiar? Come join us for Cadet Stars this Sunday, October 11, at 1 PM! We still have spots open!

⭐ CADET STARS

Sunday Young Dog Club | Dogs Under 1 Year

An exciting world can make it hard for a young dog to pay attention! Cadet Stars gives puppies and adolescent dogs a place to practice staying connected to their person through training, engagement games, real-life distractions, and controlled group play.

This isn’t about standing around drilling obedience. We keep dogs moving, thinking, and learning through games and short, successful training exercises.
What do we work on? 🐾

Focus around other dogs, checking in with their person, leash skills, recall, impulse control, and confidence around new challenges. We’ll practice working around the things that make listening harder: dogs, people, movement, toys, and food!
And yes, there’s time to play!

Play is carefully supervised, with partners selected based on age, size, confidence, and play style. Not every puppy will play with every other puppy.
We use those moments to practice taking breaks, coming away when called, and reconnecting with their person afterward. Owners also learn what healthy play looks like and when it’s time to step in.

The Cadet Stars goal is simple:
🐶 PLAY with dogs.
🐾 WORK around dogs.
🚀 COME AWAY from dogs.
💙 Choose their person when asked.

For dogs under one year old who are appropriate for a supervised group environment.

📅 This Sunday, October 11, at 1 PM
⭐ Held every 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month
📍 Rocket Dog Academy
520 Pacific Place, Mount Vernon, WA
