❤️🐾 THREE MONTHS. ONE INCREDIBLE TRANSFORMATION. A FOREVER HOME. 🐾❤️

Three months ago, Foxy came into my life a severely malnourished, injured, exhausted Belgian Malinois weighing just 42.6 pounds. Her ribs, spine, and hip bones were painfully visible. She had so much healing ahead of her, and we could only hope to give her the chance she deserved.

Today? Look at her go! ❤️

She's healthy, happy, full of energy, proudly carrying her beloved big stick, playing with her pack, and showing us more of her personality every day.

But there's one more thing we've been waiting to share…

🏡 FOXY IS HOME TO STAY! ❤️

That's right. Foxy has officially become a permanent member of the Altes family!

She's already begun additional obedience training, and we're looking forward to introducing her to scent work and agility. Our hope is to develop her skills toward becoming a search and rescue dog. If all goes well, this girl may have an incredible new adventure ahead of her!

From fighting to survive to having a family, a pack, and a purpose… her journey is just beginning.

To EVERYONE who played a part in rescuing Foxy, helping her heal, supporting her journey, or simply cheering her on along the way:

THANK YOU. YOU HELPED GIVE THIS GIRL A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE. ❤️

We may never know everything she's overcome, but we do know this: she's safe, she's loved, and she's HOME.

And we can't wait to see what the future holds for our girl.

As everyone who owns a horse or a mule knows that hay day is like Christmas morning- BUT what is even better are two hay deliveries in one season! Thank you to everyone who made this last load happen, we are all set for winter! 🐴🐴🤠🤠💕💕

One of the things you stumble across when deer hunting in Northern California… 🐻🌲

I came across an absolutely enormous accumulation of bear s**t. Piles upon piles, with smaller deposits on top of older ones. It sure looks like a spot that's been used repeatedly over time.

I've spent plenty of time in the woods, but this was a first for me. Nature never stops surprising you!

Any hunters or others who spend time in bear country ever come across a spot like this?

They are on the move!

California Department of Fish and Wildlife recently posted a photo of a confirmed wolf track from the confirmed sightings in Lake County California in August 2026. Adult wolf tracks have a length of typically 3.5-5 inches and have a width typically 3 to 4.5 inches. The wolf which was detected twice on two separate trail cameras showed a lone black wolf and it marked one of only a handful of documentations of wolves being west of Interstate 5 in California since they naturally dispersed back to the state in 2011.

🐾🏇 TABLE ROCK | NORTHERN CALIFORNIA DALMATIAN ROAD TRIAL 🐾

Day 1 was a great start at Table Rock, our newest event venue, and today we’re back for Day 2!

The Northern California Dalmatian Club is hosting their Road Trial, with competitors taking on a 12.5-mile trail course through the beautiful Table Rock property and surrounding area.

Today’s events begin at 8:00 AM, with obedience trials running approximately 8:00–11:00 AM. After completing their obedience portion, most competitors will head out onto the trail for the 12.5-mile course.

👀 Spectators are welcome!
If you’d like to come watch, please be aware that you may need to walk in from the entrance so we don’t disturb competitors traveling along the road and course.

We’re excited to see Table Rock becoming a place where unique events like this can come together!
