‼️ WARNING- GRAPHIC CONTENT ‼️

Sweet Rubi presented to us for lethargy & inappetence for several days. Being an intact female, the immediate concern is a Pyometra (severe, life threatening infection of the uterus). While she was not febrile at the time, her white blood cell count was elevated nearly 4 times the normal value. 🫣

After radiographs and fast scan of her abdomen confirmed a Pyometra, Dr. Epp was able to remove her uterus, which was indeed filled with puss like fluid, and get her on the mend!!! 👏🏼👏🏼

We are happy to report Rubi is back to her old self and is a few pounds lighter 😭😭

A message from Dr. Marcela ♥️

Hi everyone! My hometown in Colombia was severely affected by the recent 7.4-magnitude earthquake. I am SO incredibly grateful that my family was not physically injured, but several of their homes sustained significant damage, including my grandmother’s home & aunt’s apartment and many more.
I am not one who ever wants to ask for donations, but financial support is one of the most effective ways to help from afar until I am able to get there with my family. Every contribution makes a difference, and no amount is too small. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing

🚨 ATTENTION 🚨

As many of you may know, a catastrophic earthquake has struck Colombia, leaving so many people and pets with nothing at all. We are so proud to have Dr. Marcela Eppelsheimer as a part of our family and know how difficult it is for her to see her family there struggling so much.

Any donations this week would be BEYOND appreciated such as dog food, collars, any old medications for your pets or anything else you would love to send there as some have lost everything. Dr. Marcela will be bringing everything to Charleston Animal Society on Friday but will continue sending all the help they need for the mean time! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
