Kitkat Playroom is a foster-based 501(c)(3) neonatal kitten rescue located in southern New Jersey (Philadelphia region.) We save felines during their most vulnerable and needy stage; provide them veterinary care, love and warmth, and social skills. When they are big and strong enough, we spay/neuter and vaccinate all kittens in our care before we look for loving, carefully-screened forever homes for them. Finnegan is officially up for adoption! If all goes well, he should recover from entropion eye surgery and be ready to head home in about 4 weeks. Finn has hydrocephalus and is shunted. He manages well with no medications or neurological concerns at this time. Finn is a super chatty, full Maine C**n who absolutely needs another young kitty to play with. He is not shy with new cats and will march right up to be friends. Finn doesn’t seek out cuddles, but if you hold him, he’ll settle in your arms. He is a big mush. And we do mean BIG!

Timmy is staying with me for the next 4 weeks! He has gotten so big — can you believe how grown up he looks? He turns one year old in 10 days. One year old! He settled right in like he’d never left. He’s chasing all the cats, jumping on everyone, wanting to play. He goes for his neuter surgery on Monday. I sure missed him.

Cecil is having the very best time in his forever home. His new big brother, Dusty, not only tolerates Cecil’s wild antics, he plays along! Cecil’s dad even gets cuddle time on the couch with him when he gets sleepy. It’s thanks to all of you for engaging with our posts that this crazy boy found the perfect home — his dad saw Cecil on Facebook. I miss him zooming around my house, he sure brought the energy and excitement! - but I’m even happier that he’s loving his new family.

Jane has been living her best life lately, and apparently that involves spending a lot of time upside down with her belly on display. 😂

She hasn’t had a seizure in a long while, her fur is finally growing back, and she is just so ridiculously happy.

And somehow, Jane has officially hit 5 POUNDS! She’s over a year old now and pretty much done growing, but she managed to squeeze out those last few ounces to reach her all-time highest weight. Based on the evidence in this video, I suspect most of that weight gain went straight to her belly.

For a little girl whose first year was filled with so many medical challenges, I’m loving this new chapter where she gets to just be a happy, slightly round, ridiculous little Jane.

Fizzy likes everyone in her house to be spic-n-span. Fen enjoys a nice Fizzy bath, so it is a win-win.

Fen has been doing very well after his shunt was removed! I’ve seen no signs of fluid building back up in his head so far. He does still have one seizure every day or two, but they have been one-off, not cluster seizures. I’m still hopeful these will decrease as his ventricles heal from the collapse.

Overall, I’m very happy with Fen and how he’s doing! He’s still wobbly, but he gets where he needs to go. The carpet helps tremendously. He’s still growling at baths and meds, he’s still eating like he has a hollow leg, and he’s still scratching at rugs for fun. 🤩

Guess who is coming to stay with me for 3 1/2 weeks starting next Thursday?? Timmy and Finnegan! 💃 Their foster parents need to leave the country to see family for a month, so the boys are joining my crew temporarily. Neither are adopted yet - they both have surgery on October 19 which is the last step before we can find them permanent homes. I cannot wait to see them again! I’ll post lots of Timmy & Finn content while they’re here!
