A LITTLE PEPPER THROWBACK 🥹🐾

Before she was Pepper… she was just this tiny little girl with those SAME eyes. 🥹❤️

It’s crazy how fast these little sausages grow. One minute you’re holding a tiny puppy in your hands, and the next thing you know, they’ve completely stolen your heart — and somehow convinced you that the entire house belongs to them. 😂🌭

Pepper has grown into such a beautiful little dachshund, but that sweet baby personality? Still there. ❤️

And this is exactly why I love raising dachshunds. It isn’t just about puppies. It’s watching these little personalities develop, finding the right families, and getting to love them every step of the way. 🐾

The Puppy You Don’t See 🐾❤️

People see the tiny paws.
The floppy ears.
The puppy breath.
The cute pictures that make you say, “I NEED ONE.” 😂

But what you don’t always see is everything that happens before that puppy ever goes home.

The planning.
The waiting.
The sleepless nights.
The research.
The hard decisions.
The socialization.
The cleaning. 😅
The watching, weighing, documenting, and worrying over every little change.

And most importantly—the decisions we make when nobody is watching.

Because breeding isn’t simply putting two dachshunds together and hoping for puppies.

It’s choosing the right pairings.
It’s knowing when not to breed.
It’s putting temperament, structure, health, and quality of life ahead of convenience.
It’s raising puppies with intention instead of simply raising them until they’re old enough to leave.

Every puppy that leaves Jayla’s Teenie We**ies takes a little piece of our heart with them. ❤️

That’s why we don’t want to be the breeder with the most puppies.

We want to be the breeder who can look back at every puppy we produced and say:

“We did everything we could to give this baby the best start possible.”

Somehow, the dachshunds always manage to take up the entire couch while leaving us approximately 4 inches of space. 😂

Blankets? Claimed.
Pillows? Claimed.
Best spot on the couch? Definitely claimed. 😂

And honestly… we wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐾❤️

The Foundation Starts Before You Ever Take Them Home 🐾🤎

There’s a lot more to raising a puppy than keeping them fed, clean, and loved.

The first weeks of a puppy’s life are filled with tiny experiences that can make a BIG difference later on.

New sounds.
New textures.
Gentle handling.
Confidence-building experiences.
Grooming introductions.
Crate and potty foundations.
Learning how to settle.
Learning that the world is a safe place to explore.

We don’t believe in simply raising puppies until they’re old enough to leave.

We believe in preparing them for the life they’re going home to.

Because when you choose a puppy, you’re not just choosing a face, a color, or a pattern.

You’re choosing the foundation we spent weeks building. 🐾

Pretty puppies are easy to admire.

Every puppy deserves to be more than “cute.” They deserve a strong foundation, individual attention, patience, socialization, and a home that is just as committed to them as we are. 🏡🐶

That’s why we put so much thought into the little things — the experiences they’re introduced to, the confidence we help build, and the personalities we get to know along the way.
