Our 2027 Season

The Chesapeake Chicks —

Roommates Ann, Rita, Gertrude, Alice and Carrie are former players of the all-female baseball team, The Chesapeake Chicks. When they return from Ann’s funeral, their caretaker Matthew presents them with Ann’s found journal, with a cryptic final message.

The entire house is turned upside down as everyone tries to figure out who did it – will they discover the truth before the killer strikes again?

No S*x Please, We’re British —

An assistant bank manager, Peter Hunter, lives in a flat above his bank with his new bride Frances. When Frances innocently sends off a mail order for some Scandinavian glassware, what comes back is Scandinavian po*******hy. The two, along with the bank's frantic chief cashier Brian Runnicles, must decide what to do with the veritable floods of po*******hy, photographs, books, films and eventually girls that threaten to engulf this happy couple.

Ordinary People —
A fractured family drama that centers on the affluent Jarrett family in Lake Forest, Illinois, who are shattered after the accidental drowning of their older teenage son, Buck, in a sailing accident.
Based off of the film with Mary Tyler Moore.

Dancing at Lughnasa —
a joyful 1990 play by dramatist Brian Friel set in County Donegal, Ireland in August, 1936 in the fictional town of Ballybeg. It is a memory play told from the point of view of the adult Michael Evans, the narrator. He recounts the summer in his aunts' cottage when he was seven years old.

Toyer —
a scary, cat-and-mouse drama about Dr. Maude and the serial killer who wants her dead. This psychological thriller is a mind game play. Toyer is someone who toys; he is a mass paralyzer who toys with his victims. He does not murder or r**e, he seduces and then immobilizes.

An Irish Panto: Snow White and Her Adventures in the 100-Acre Wood — a mashup of Snow White, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Hansel and Gretel.

Preston Alexander Raymer as Pazuzu (The Demon) and The Bishop

Preston Alexander Raymer is malevolently delighted to play The Demon “Pazuzu” in this regional premier of The Exorcist. He is a Nashville native who holds a B.A. in Communications & Theatre from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go Vols!). At Playhouse 615, Preston played Luke in “The Haunting of Hill House” and assistant directed “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” and “Run For Your Wife” alongside Joel Meriwether, as well as, directed “A Bad Year For Tomatoes” this past spring. Jeremy James Carmichael as Burke Dennings

Jeremy James Carmichael has been a television, film and stage actor for over 20 years, and a proud member of Actors’ Equity. Jeremy spent two seasons on ABC’s daytime drama ALL MY CHILDREN before moving his career off-Broadway. He was twice nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Play. In 2024 Jeremy was cast as the lead in Nashville’s #1 residency show downtown, and now performs in theaters across the country. Favorite roles: Don Lockwood in SINGIN IN THE RAIN, Billy Flynn in CHICAGO, Bert in MARY POPPINS. Jeremy worked alongside Tom Cruise in the film JACK REACHER, and continues to train with the nation’s premier adult tap conservatory. Using his platform as an actor, Jeremy travels the country to appear at various charity events to advocate for mental health awareness, and chairs a foundation in his name to sponsor and support young people going into the arts. K.C. Bragg as Father Joseph Dyer and Demon 2

K.C. Bragg has spent a significant amount of time pretending to be other people-and, on occasion, getting paid for it. He appeared as Pato Dooley in Playhouse 615's The Beauty Queen of Leenane in 2024. His professional theatre credits include work with Weathervane Playhouse, Cumberland County Playhouse, Theatre IV, Birmingham Children's Theatre, and Theatre West Virginia. K.C. recently filmed a scene for Season 2 of the Amazon series Scarpetta. He also provides narration for audiobooks, including Inside the Mind of a Teen Killer, Fatherhood, Lithium Kid, Samuel, and The Power of Relentless Pursuit. A fan of William Peter Blatty's faith trilogy, he enjoys stories involving a character's struggles, their ultimate redemption, and the occasional thing that goes bump in the night. Offstage, K.C.'s proudest roles are husband to Tammy and Dad to Willem, Kyle, and Josh. They're his favorite people, and the folks who keep him humble.

Joe Russell as Father Lankester Merrin

Joe Russell was born in KY but was raised at least a third of his life in TN. Acting took him to Chicago, the East coast of FL, Dallas and now Nashville. Great to be at 615 Playhouse again. Appeared or worked on over one hundred productions. It is hard to choose one to favor.

James David West as Father Damien Karras

James David West is an award-winning actor whose work is built around a principle he calls “Follow The Why.” Behavior follows thought, and thought comes from somewhere. Why this thought, though? Why this choice? Why now? What changed? He follows those questions into the relationships, circumstances, and experiences that shape a person, allowing each moment to affect whatever comes next. In truth, Damien carries enormous emotional weight. Father Karras lives inside grief, guilt, love, crisis of faith, and the loss of certainty while everything he understands about himself and the world around him begins to crumble right before his eyes. That changes a person, and to JDW, what a character does with change is the most interesting thing to watch, whether on stage or in film. His hope is that audiences leave the theatre with a deeper understanding of the human condition, having recognized pieces of themselves woven throughout the story and within the lives of the people they have just experienced. Perhaps, in seeing their own lives reflected there, live theatre has changed them in ways they weren’t expecting. Angela, his wife, continues to support and believe in what they are creating together around all of this beautiful nonsense. That support runs deeper than simply making space for his artistry. It is choosing to build life with him, with the art woven in. And much love and gratitude to Joel and Ann, who brought him back to the theatre and, in doing so, helped save his life again
