When Shelby Boles and family sold Lucky Bones Country Club in December of 2014, she was left with an empty void. She missed her sweet dogs and kitties that she had cared so much for and the human customers too! The family decided to open up a unique pet retail experience that would also allow Shelby the flexible schedule she needed to care for a future grandchild that is expected in December 2015! You will find that because we are family owned and operated we will have unique pet items as well as a personal shopping experience you won't find in a big box store! This may be the only photo we took of this year’s 60th anniversary of the The Autumn Leaves Festival but it’s a great one! Our State Magazine stationed outside of The Dapper Hound was awesome for sure, but so were all the smiles and laughter. From the familiar faces, food, friends, and finding crafts, this year’s festival was fantastic! From The Dapper Hound to our Greater Mount Airy Chamber and all those who helped (there are many), a huge WOOF of thanks from us to you! Comm-UNITY is better when we all work together!
