You can really see his training coming together. His listening has gotten so much stronger during his stay, proving he's a smart guy who just needed some direction.

That's the power of a board and train: the trainer puts in the reps, so you can hold the pup accountable and the skills actually stick.

Next up is a lesson with his owners to get them up to speed on working with him, both with the e-collar and through the situations that tend to make him nervous. The training only sticks when it carries over at home. 💪

Hank is coming along nicely! We've introduced the e-collar so his owners can communicate with him off leash, both in the house and outdoors. Since he's still learning and the e-collar is new, we're continuing to use the leash for guidance for now.

You'll notice we're not talking to him a lot. This keeps him focused on what we're asking and teaches him to rely on our body language.

That said, Hank knows his commands, so we expect him to follow through when asked. Because he lives with another dog, his owners will be working him around a big distraction at home. The key is to hold him accountable to what he's learned here and guide him through distractions, since he's still a young guy.

Hank is continuing his hard work, both inside and outside the house! 🐾 He hasn't spent much time around young kids, so he's learning that listening still matters when little ones are nearby. Hank tends to bark first and investigate later, so we're giving his brain a job to do. Having something to focus on helps him feel more confident around things he's unsure of. He's doing great!

Here’s Rosie as we wrap up her board & train!

The leash is off, she’s responding beautifully to E-collar communication, and staying happy, engaged, and connected throughout her work. She’s such a smart girl, and we’ve been putting in a lot of work to build the understanding and consistency that got her here.

When dogs transition back home, I always recommend keeping the leash on for a bit while owners learn how to use the e-collar and respond to behavior in real time. That transition period takes practice, and the leash adds an extra layer of guidance and clarity so Rosie understands expectations stay the same and her owners gain confidence handling what she already knows.

Rosie is an incredibly smart and capable pup, and we can’t wait to reunite her with her family and bring them into everything she’s learned. She’s off to an amazing start! 🐾

Check out Rosie rocking and rolling with our pups in the pen! We’re upping the challenge just enough for her to still succeed, stepping in with guidance when she needs it since she’s still growing and all of this is pretty new to her.

She’s coming along beautifully, and soon we’ll be handing the reins over to her family so they can keep building on what we’ve started. I fully expect her to test boundaries along the way — that’s just part of growing up — but these videos are proof she’s got it in her. Her family can hold both things at once: patience for where she’s still learning, and high expectations because she’s already shown what she’s capable of.

Social time for Rosie! 🐾 While she’s here for her Board & Train, she’s not just learning commands — she’s practicing them in real life. Meeting new friends like Hooper and Lulu means she gets to work on impulse control, recall, and calm greetings all at once. Training doesn’t stop when the leash comes off — this is the training.
