We offer an extensive array of services such as Sports Medicine Procedures, Dentistry, Health Programs and in house stem cell, IRAP, PRP, digital ultrasound and x-ray. I apologize if I sound a bit like a broken record( if you don't understand that reference I might be a bit envious). Sorry for the detour. Every 2-3 years I tackle this thought " I can put my horse out in the grass after the first frost". The problem with that statement especially in our area is that our first frost almost never puts the grass in dormancy. In our area the grass often continues to grow after the first and even at times further frosts. I have said for years that 1-2 solid freezes are more safe for for horses sensitive to grass
A general rule would be if you're still needing to cut your yard the grass is probably not safe for sensitive horses. Hope all of the patients stay safe
