Look at them! We have been waiting for these little ones to reveal their color, and now at 4 weeks old, it is finally starting to show — they appear to be BY - chocolate golden!
For those who are not familiar with British Golden colors, chocolate golden and black golden can look very similar at first glance. The main difference is the color of the tipping on the coat. Black goldens have black tipping, creating stronger contrast, while chocolate goldens have warm chocolate-brown tipping that gives the coat a softer, richer caramel appearance. Chocolate goldens also tend to have lighter pigmentation, including lighter nose leather and paw pads.
Chocolate golden is one of the rarest and most sought-after colors in the breed, and we are excited to watch these babies continue to develop over the coming weeks.
Proud mama Fiona and dad Gummy have given us a truly special litter!
