In Oliver we trust!!!

It didn’t start pouring until after I started my 9 am lesson. We tried to ride for a few minutes. But then decided it was futile. But then we were stuck in the indoor w a moat all around us and bad lightening. After about 20 minutes we had one of the grandpas drive down to us, picked the kids and parent up. They grabbed me halters for Oliver and Toodles and then headed out. We had already removed saddles. I had resigned myself to getting my pants, socks and shoes soaked…but then I thought “hey, I have the sweetest kindest horse here. I can ride him ba****ck and pony Toodles to the barn” I didn’t even bother to rebridle him. Just tied the leadrope and hopped on. He did question that the “deep” water was safe but once he realized there was good footing underneath, he marched up to the barn like a champ!! Best boy Oliver, best boy!!

I took these girls to the first Friday Night Lights of the season Flying Change Farm. We had so much fun! These girls rode great, learned a lot about jumper land, and worked through some things!! They all got great ribbons in a big division to boot. Proud of them! Big thanks to Brittney Paczkowski | Wedding + Lifestyle Photographer for spending the evening taking pics!

This perfect pony did such a fabulous job teaching Elizabeth, that we’ve found her 2 new kids to teach!! I’m also super excited and grateful to have been able to purchase this pony so she can stay forever!!

Congratulations to Hadley on her lease of Tamar aka Everything Nice!! This pair is already super fun to watch!

We had a great week ! This was Charlotte & Elizabeth’s first ever rated show, & Cory’s first with Rocket!

Cory & Rocket had excellent trips in the 1m Jr/Am division taking home Reserve Champion for the division and 3rd in the Classic!

Charlotte & Atlas had super rounds in the Children’s Hunter Pony division! They are always a pleasure to teach and a blast to watch.

Elizabeth got the opportunity to borrow Noah for the week and also competed in the Children’s Hunter Pony division. Despite having only ridden this wonderful pony twice before the show, they laid down lovely trips & came home with a Champion ribbon!

We’d like to say a great big thank you to Noah’s best girl-Loghan for loaning her fantastic pony to Elizabeth!

Big thanks to great horse show parents & Zach for being our designated photog!

I am very proud of all 3 of these pairs. Everyone rode great and handled errors like superstars.

Taking horses & ponies like these (and my others who were back at home) makes my job so easy. It also makes me pause to appreciate everyone who came before in their lives. They love their jobs, help their riders, and are happy & healthy-that is all true in large part to the training and care they had as young horses.

Next stop in rated show land is Lamplight in July! Then looking at Omaha in late August or a Tyler in Sept or Oct. Be sure to sign up asap if you’d like to join us on our next adventure!

Set up and ready for a fun week in Omaha! We’re venturing out to a few rated shows this year for the first time since GO’s last show. It’s Charlotte & Elizabeth’s first rated show and Cory’s first with Rocket. We’re excited. & I’m excited to finally get to use our new show curtains!! 💜💜💜
