In 2011, I adopted my Boxer, Lucy, who instantly became my furry little side kick! I began sewing around the same time and decided to make Lucy a collar since I couldn't find one I liked in local stores. My friends and family as well as complete strangers would stop and ask me where I got my collars. When people started asking if they could buy collars from me, I decided to start a small side busi

ness. Since then, God has blessed us tremendously, and my husband and I are both full-time with Lucy Lou's! We attend many farmer's markets, festivals, and other events throughout the year, and we keep several local boutiques and veterinary clinics stocked with our products. To say we are busy is an understatement, but we are so grateful to work together and create high-quality, stylish items that please both you and your four-legged friends! 💖💖

It’s been forever since I’ve done an introduction post. Tbh I’m not an influencer or a social media expert, and sharing photos and info about myself isn’t something I typically do. This wasn’t written by anyone else (or anything else 🤪) just me… unfiltered and honest. We don’t have a social media marketing team either so bear with me!

For those of you who have been around a while, thanks for being here! And to those who don’t know me, welcome, I’m Ashley. Although I started Lucy Lou’s in 2012, many of you probably know my handsome husband better than me. 😆 For the first several years LLD existed, my mom and I were the ones attending all the markets and festivals together. In 2019, my husband, Michael, a Navy Veteran, joined me full-time. We spent three years traveling up and down the east coast selling our collars at events, finding stores to sell our products, and growing our online presence. In 2022, we had our first daughter and last year we welcomed a second little girl. Since becoming a mom, I play a much larger “behind-the-scenes” roll than at our in-person events. However, I’m incredibly grateful for all Michael has done and continues to do to support my dreams and our family. You’ll still see me from time to time, but even if you don’t just know that it brings me so much joy to be creative and continue serving you and your families after all these years. It may not seem like shopping from a small business could make a difference in the grand scheme, but it does. We’re not a huge company, we aren’t perfect, we will make mistakes, BUT we’re a family that genuinely values you. 💗💗

It reminds me to celebrate the little wins, be patient, and embrace where I am right now. It reminds me to trust His process. 🌸 Not sure if anyone else needs a quote about a flamingo to brighten their Saturday, but after a tough week, I know I did! 💗 Happy Saturday y’all!
